After a few more unspoken minutes, Ernie started to think that being Amanda might not be so bad. She made more money than him, had a nicer house, and maybe being a woman might not be so bad. He tried to walk away with as much confidence as he could muster. Amanda wasn’t nearly as pleased; there was no way she’d ever be satisfied with Ernie’s life. She began to follow after him. Of course, even though she stayed close, still neither knew how they swapped or how to swap back. Ernie had the right idea; suck it up and embrace the new life he had. What other choice did they have?
