Life Saving

Conor hadn’t remembered falling asleep, but he awoke in a beautiful vacation house. His awe was short lived as he stood up and noticed he now wore a bikini and a pearl necklace...what was even weirder was that he now had a body to fit those things! He walked to a balcony overlooking some trees and the beach. He turned with a worried look on his face when he heard a voice.

“I see you’ve awakened,” Conor was a little surprised to see the CEO of the company he worked for standing there. The man continued, “You’re probably confused right now. Allow me to explain. My wife was dying. The only way to save her was to transplant her brain out of her body using a procedure my company developed. I checked the company’s medical records, and you were the only compatable employee.”

It was a lot for Conor to take in. He took a deep breath before he spoke, “You violated my privacy and stuck my brain inside the body of your dying trophy wife?”

“You don’t understand -- ”

“How long do I have to live?”

“You aren’t going to die, Mr. Lieder. With a healthy brain, her body will be fine; and with a healthy brain, her body will be fine. You will be fine. This is a cure for her! And you should consider yourself lucky to have her amazing body! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go comfort my wife in the other room, who now has to deal with being in the body of a middle aged man!”
