Get Home

Curtis sighed. It had been a very long twelve hours since the Great Shift dumped him on the other side of the country in a strange body. He supposed he was lucky to have ended up in a body at an airport; he was able to guarantee a seat on a flight back home as soon as the planes were back in the air. Quite surprisingly, it didn’t take long. However, the fact that he was in the body of a stewardess proved to be problematic once aboard. People kept asking him to help with their luggage or to find their seat.

“Look, I get what I look like; I understand what I’m wearing,” He would tell others on the plane, “But I was Shifted into a new body just like everyone else. This isn’t my body. This aren’t my clothes. I’m not here to wait on you. I just want to get home.”
