Gifted

Mike never would’ve described himself as a good father. He didn’t even know he was a father until an ex of his contacted him on his daughter’s two year old birthday. He tried to just ignore her existence, and even that worked for another year or two. He tried a bit, but his heart just wasn’t into the girlie things his daughter wanted to do. On her fourth birthday, he figured he’d just buy her a nice present and be done with the child.

He wasn’t quite sure what compelled him to stop in the odd shop or why he was drawn to the music box with a ballerina inside. But it was a reasonable enough price, and the exactly the sort of thing his girlie daughter would love. On her birthday, he gave her the gift and simply headed out, thinking he’d never see her again. He was wrong.

The next morning, he awoke on a wooden floor with pink fluffy pillows all around. The light in the room seemed to be shaped like a keyhole. He quickly realized he was wearing silver heels, a pink tutu, and a tiara. He looked for a door, but there seemed to be no way out. Mike was panicking when a floor of light shone in the room. He felt compelled to dance, and he couldn’t stop himself from giving a robotic ballet performance to tinny music. As he looked around, he could see his young daughter towering over him, and he realized the horror of his situation. He was the miniaturized ballerina in his daughter’s music box!

Day Trip Through Time

“Is this safe?” Norma nervously asked her husband, Al.

“If my invention works as it should,” Al explained, “Your mind will travel fifty years into the future. You’ll inhabit someone else’s body for a day, then you’ll return. For me, it’ll feel like no time has gone by, but for you, well, you’ll be able to tell me all about your day trip to the future! Should we get started?”

Norma nodded. Al pressed the button.

“Did it work?” Al asked.

Norma took a moment to respond. When she did, she seemed to be speaking with a Brooklyn accident. “Did what work? What the f*ck is wrong with my voice? Why do I have f*cking tits? What the f*ck did you do to me? Where am I?”

Al quickly realized his miscalculation. Instead of sending his wife’s mind into the future for a day, he captured a mind from the future which was now inhabiting his wife’s body -- and he certainly hoped it would only be for a day! Calming the man down was no easy feat -- he was certainly not happy about being a woman -- but Al eventually managed to explain the situation. The man seemed skeptical, but he figured he could survive one day in the past as a woman.

Run Away (Part 2)

The pain wasn’t going away easily, but Luke realized one good thing about the pain was that it distracted him from his new body. Even rubbing hairless legs was a little weird, but he’d be surely focusing on the parts he now lacked or gained as a result of becoming a woman. Thinking about running after his own body, and how his chest would likely bounce as he did, also seemed quite strange to him. He knew he’d have to get used to these things in the short term; he just hoped he would be able to do something about them soon enough.

Run Away

Luke barely had time to process what happened. He had been jogging in the park when a woman came running up behind him. He wasn’t quite sure what happened next, but he found himself in her body. Judging by the smirk on his former face, he had a feeling she was responsible. Before he could react, she kicked him in the shin and ran off.

Luke wanted to give chase. He wanted to get his body back. However, his leg was hurting, and he needed to take care of that first. After all, what was this woman’s endgame? If she went back to his place, he knew where he lived. If she went back to her own place, he was sure someone knew this woman and where she lived. Where could she run to?

Not Ready

Finding himself in a woman’s body as a result of the Great Shift was shocking for Gerold. He wasn’t sure if he was ready for things like makeup and skirts, not to mention things like PMS and periods. As he prepared himself for the latter, he was surprised that it still hadn’t happened after a month, and still nothing a month later. It wasn’t until his belly started growing out that the true nature of his predicament was apparent; he was pregnant! It must’ve happened days before the Shift, and now he was the one with a new life growing inside of him. He had tried to mentally prepare himself as soon as he became a woman, but this was more than he was ready for! This couldn’t be happening to him!

While You Wait

“The way I see it, you’ve got two problems here,” Elliot explained, “The first is the problem with your car’s engine. I can fix it in a few hours. That’s easy. The other problem is the fact that we somehow switched bodies when you walked into my shop. That one I can’t help with; I’ve got no idea how it happened. I’m not saying I can complain. It feels good to be about twenty years younger again -- not that I would’ve ever chosen to be a woman. I can still fix your car while we wait to see if this all works itself out, or we can just wait if you’d prefer not to see your hands get a little dirty. It’s up to you.”

Powers

William had gotten into witchcraft a few years ago, but he had never been particularly good at it. He kept practicing spells, but anything complex would fizzle out or underwhelm. Then he found a simple spell that would supposedly boost his powers. He went into the park in the middle of the night to cast it.

He blacked out and woke the next morning. He didn’t feel more powerful, but he did feel quite strange. As he looked down at his body, he realized why. The damn spell had transformed him into a woman! And not only that, he appeared to have a pretty nice body with a small, red, leather dress. He figured he must have messed up.

He sighed. But then he tried another spell -- teleportation to get back home. He knew it was a long shot, as that spell never worked for him; however, this time it did. It seemed weird, but maybe transforming into a woman was in fact, a way to boost his powers...
