Subway

Joe was thankful to finally be out of the subway. The Great Shift had struck when he was underground, and he had swapped bodies with another passenger. The train came to an immediate stop. He was worried about an accident on the tracks and scared another train might hit his own. For hours, he was trapped in the crowded car in an unfamiliar body until evacuation procedures finally started. It was an uncomfortable experience--and doing it in a strange body certainly didn’t help matters--but he was glad to be out and above ground again! Now, if there was just some way to reverse the effects of the Great Shift!

The invention

Max had to hold back his glee when his friend Chang agreed to test out his new invention with him. He placed the strange helmet atop her head, then placed another one atop his own. He told her to concentrate on a singular thought, and that the machine would allow him to read her mind. He turned some knobs and dials, and the next thing Chang knew, she was looking across the room at her own face! Max had lied; the machine didn’t allow the users to read each other’s minds--it caused them to switch bodies! Max was ecstatic to be inside Chang’s body! Max blew a quick kiss back in the direction of his own body before removing the helmet, fully prepared to enjoy a new life as Chang!

Gregory had continued to go to the gym week after week. One day, a woman came up beside him. She struck up a conversation. The words seemed familiar; he had used similar phrases back when he hit on women. This woman was hitting on him, and Gregory was eating it up! He asked her out; the woman smiled and nodded. Gregory was really beginning to think the Great Shift was the greatest thing that ever happened to him!

“We apologize for the mistake,” The voice continued, “We transplanted your brain into this body, but did not fully understand the function of the organ. We are sorry that a reversal is ill-advised. We suggest you try to adjust to your new life.”

Jason realized that the voice was coming from a headset. He tried shouting back, but the voice just kept going on encouraging calming and apologizing for the transplant. Jason realized that these aliens had basically harvested his organs! He was just lucky it was his brain, his consciousness was still intact, even if it was in this body. He aimed his gun at the locked door. His new goal was escaping from these aliens and getting off this ship!

Student body (Part 1)

Mr. Strauss taught at an innercity school where he felt the kids had potential that they never utilized. He called up one of the student, a young woman named Cassia, who he had high hopes for, despite her often sour attitude. She was ill-prepared for the oral report, and stood stiff at the front of the class. Suddenly, Mr. Strauss found himself back in the front of the class, but only now he was in Cassie’s body! The entire student body had switched bodies!

Don't panic

Russell felt a bit of panic when he awoke on the beach and looked down. Despite having spent the last week on Exchange Island inside the body of a beautiful woman, he still wasn’t completely used to it. Every time he went to sleep, he still sort of expected to wake up in his old male body. He was hoping he’d become used to his new body so that he could relax a little better. After all, he only had one more week on the island, which meant he only had one more week to spend in this amazing body!

Zach had made up his mind. He smiled as he put on her coat and went to meet Denise. He was going to tell her his plans to keep her body, and that she could keep his. He wasn’t sure she would go for it, but he just had a good feeling about this. Being inside Denise’s body just made Zach feel complete--as if this is where his soul belonged. It only seemed logical that meant that she felt her soul belonged in his body, right?
