Grandma

Evan sat by himself in the corner of the nursing home looking out the window. Every single joint in his body ached; well, his grandma’s body but he was the one currently inside of it. He still couldn’t believe his own grandmother would do this to him! He was the one who would come to visit! He was the one that would listen to her when she would ramble on and on with her stories. He was the perfect grandson! Why didn’t she take Emma’s body? His sister Emma was too busy shopping with her friends or going on dates with boys to visit grandma. If anyone deserved this sort of lesson, it was Emma! Not him! How could grandma do this to him

Back in Time

Brett had been testing out his time machine for a while. Mostly he’d drop items in, set it for a few minutes in the future and wait. The items would then reappear safe and sound. Feeling quite confident, he decided to use himself as the first human subject. His first mistake was directional. He had intended to go sixty years into the future; instead he went sixty years into the past. Further, to avoid a potential paradox, going back wasn’t quite like going forward. To minimize problems, his body seemed to have vaporized on its way back with his mind and soul inhabiting a person from the past. Rushing to a mirror, his reflection was very familiar. He soon realized it was the face of his own grandmother, except when she was young. The thoughts running through Brett’s head were all over the place. First, he’d have to make a version of his machine here in the past in order to get back. He’d also have to make sure he didn’t take any actions that might undo his own existence! After all, looking at the calendar, he realized his own mother wasn’t even going to be born for another ten months. With a quick calculation in his head, he realized he was going to have to work on a new version of his machine as quickly as possible!

Back in Time

Officer Frank Watts knew the discovery would be trouble. Now he was the one on the force assigned to go back in time to chase criminals who fled to the past. There was a strange catch about time travel, your body didn’t go with you; you had to jump into the body of one of your ancestors. On Frank’s most recent jump, the perp had gone back to World War 2, while both of Frank’s grandfathers were off fighting the war. He had no choice but to jump into his grandmother’s body. He had probably done this a hundred times, but he had never jumped into a female ancestor before. He briefly looked at himself in the mirror, feeling quite odd in the unfamiliar body. But he didn’t have too much time to dwell on it; there was a criminal to catch!
