Weight, Don't Tell Me.

When the Great Shift happened and I found myself in this body, I told myself that I was going to take good care of it. Then I slipped into old habits of fast food, frozen pizza, and a general lack of exercise. And I soon found that my new body gained weight much more easily than my old one. Couple that with the fact that my new body was female instead of male, I felt pressured to lose the weight.

I started to look at the fresh produce in the grocery store, but the thought of cooking and preparing meals seemed daunting. I wondered if I could eat those Weight Watcher means -- though they ended up tasting gross.

I couldn’t help but think I may end up overweight no matter what body I wound up in...

Fat Fingers

Bo entered his apartment with his groceries, replaced his shoes with slippers, and pouted in the same way he had done every since the Great Shift. Everything was a reminder about the body he ended up as a result.

The grocery store had been no different. Instead of the soda and frozen pizza he’d usually buy, he went for things like vegetables and fresh fruit. His fat fingers picking up each item were a reminder of how he wanted to lose weight in his new female body.

He wouldn’t have wanted to be female if given a choice, and being overweight felt like adding insult to injury. At least most of the other guys he knew that became woman got to be hot! He ended up as...this! But as he put away the groceries, he told himself he could improve this body; he could do better...

No Matter the Effort

It didn’t seem to matter how hard or how much Nelson worked out, he was gaining weight every day since swapping bodies with his girlfriend Cindy. After a month, he was huge.

Cindy just looked on and laughed, “It’s not so easy to stay fit as a woman, is it?”

It was like a lightbulb went off in Nelson’s head when she made that comment. “No,” He said, “But you should be bothered by seeing your body look like this, and yet you’re not. It’s part of the curse, isn’t it? You didn’t just swap our bodies, there was some sort of weight gain spell involved too, wasn’t there? No one gains this much weight in a month! It’s impossible! It didn’t matter how much effort I put it, this was going to happen no matter what!”

Cindy was at a loss for words. Nelson had finally figured it out. And, honestly, she was surprised he finally did. After the first week, she thought he never would. But maybe it was time to reverse all the magic, or maybe she could let him suffer just a little bit longer...

Only One

Henry thought the Great Shift might have been easier for him if he wasn’t the only one he knew who ended up in a body that was overweight. But no, it seemed like everyone he knew ended up in a body that was not only slim but also really attractive.

His best friend, Jim, for instance? He found out the body he was now in used to be a model before the Shift. He had even gotten an offer to walk the runway wearing a bikini for Fashion Week in her place.

His girlfriend? Or maybe he should say ex-girlfriend now? Well, she wasn’t happy to be in a guy’s body, but it was certainly a buff, attractive body. It hadn’t taken her long to think of herself as too good to be dating Henry.

And so Henry was just feeling very isolated and alone. He told himself he probably wouldn’t have minded being overweight or a woman, but it was just the steady reminders about these things from just about everyone he knew.

Fifth Floor

It was the fifth time today that Eric had sludged down to the basement apartment in the building where he lived. “Did you fix the damn thing yet?” Eric grunted at the petite blond woman feverishly working over a pile of circuits and wires.

“You’ll be the first to know, and I’m sorry again! So sorry!”

Eric scowled. Inside that woman’s body was the crazy old man who caused all this three days ago. He had tested some weird invention that swapped the bodies of everyone in the building. The old man lucked out by swapping with Carol, who lived on the third floor and worked as a marketer. Eric wished he would’ve swapped with her, or maybe with Brad, a guy who was a trainer at the gym and lived on six.

But, no, he swapped with Mrs. Neuman, who live on the fifth floor. She was two decades older than he had been (in her 40s) and overweight. It felt really different to move in a body like this, and he had been stuck like this for three days! He was getting pretty impatient with that old guy in the basement. He didn’t want to stay like this a minute longer!

Weighted

With no doubts in her mind about it, Johanna absolutely hated the results of the Great Shift. She had been a personal trainer before the Shift, but she lost all of her clients once they saw her new body; Johanna had swapped into the body of an overweight woman. Her boyfriend, Sven, offered to help her out. He too was a personal trainer, and, coincidentally enough, swapped into Johanna’s old body. Working out with Sven was difficult. She couldn’t push her new body in the ways she was used to, an Sven always asked for more from her as well. Despite giving it her all, she never seemed to lose any weight either! It only got worse a few weeks later when Sven decided to break up with her. He told Johanna he found himself much less attracted to women now that he was one himself, but Johanna was convinced he simply wasn’t interested in larger women like her! He did, however, to stay on as her trainer. She wanted to cry. It felt like her entire world was falling apart.

Bodyswapping orb (Part 2)

For part one, please click here.

"Dude!" Kyle yelled, "I thought you said if we used that bodyswap orb again that we'd wind up back in our own bodies! Not the bodies of these fat cows! Had I know, I would've insisted we stay in those sluts bodies!"

"Relax," Mike said with a smile, "We'll just return to the wood again."

"But what happens if it swaps us into someone even worse? Plus, hiking through the woods, Mike? That's so much exercise...and all I feel like doing is sitting on my ass and eating!"

"No, that's just your body's instinct. Come on, let's go back and try again!"
