“Do you think our girlfriends are ever going to forgive us?” Mark asked.

“For stealing their bodies with that magic spell?” Hal replied, “Nope.”

“I suppose there’s a bright side.”

“What’s that?”

“If they don’t come over to forgive us or at least come over and talk to us; there’s no way to swap back with them. We’ll get to keep these bodies forever.”

“Forever?” Hal asked as the reality of being stuck in Andrea’s body for the rest of his life sunk in. His eyes went wide and he paused eating the yogurt he had been eating. He was frozen for about a minute before resuming and muttering, “Cool.”

Hot Tub Gender Changing Machine

Right after getting the hot tub in his backyard fixed, James was pretty eager to jump in. He took a few minutes to just sit back and relax. He hopped out shortly after, but he no longer felt relaxed. He looked down shocked; his body had completely changed. Instead of being a man, he was now a woman. The guy that repaired his hot tub must’ve turned it into some sort of hot tub gender changing machine. He thought about jumping right back in, but he realized it might be fun to spend a bit of time as a woman. After all, when would he ever get this opportunity ever again? It felt a little strange, but not nearly as much as he expected. He decided he’d spend the day like this and return to his hot tub in 24 hours.

People did their best to adapt to the results of the Great Shift in different ways. When Patrick first found himself inside the body of a woman, he tried to embrace his new feminine side by wearing dresses, heels, makeup, the whole nine yards.

It didn’t last long.

Eventually Patrick decided there was no real need to keep up the facade. He cut his hair short and often just put on an old t-shirt and shorts. After all, he was actually still a man, despite what body he may be in now. In all honesty, it was a lot more comfortable. He didn’t really mine being a woman if he didn’t actually have to act like a woman. And it seemed others were fine with it. In fact, one of the results of the Great Shift was that people were a lot more accepting about personal decisions.

Plan (Part 2)

“Okay, so, we need a plan,” Victoria breathed, “First, you should probably call in sick to my job tomorrow.”

“And you should call in sick to mine,” Gavin added.

“But you don’t get paid if you don’t show up; we need the money.”

“So, are you saying you think you can do my job, but I can’t do yours?”

“Gavin, come on, you work in a warehouse. All you need to do your job are muscles. And right now your muscles are mine. I’m a lawyer! I had to go to law school for years, pass the bar...”

“My job’s not as easy as you think!”

“Okay, okay...” Victoria sighed, not wanting to get caught up on petty things.

Gavin gasped when he realized what happened; Victoria screamed. The young couple couldn’t believe that they had swapped bodies with each other. They had been dating for a few months, and had only very recently moved in together. It had felt like a pretty big step, and it had brought them both closer to each other. But feeling close was one thing; swapping bodies was on a whole other level.

“But I -- what -- how?” Gavin was struggling to come up with words to express just how shocked he was.

“I dont know. I don’t know.” Victoria repeated, “But we need a plan. No one is going to believe us if we just start telling people that we switched bodies.”

“Okay, okay,” Gavin breathed, “Plan. Yes.”

No. No, no, no, no, no. Steve was heading back to the lobby at the Exchange Island resort. He wasn’t going to spend his vacation in this body. No, they’d have to let him swap with someone else. He didn’t, by any stretch of the imagination, want to be a woman for two weeks. He guessed he knew it was always a possibility, and he even tried to go with the flow. But after spending about 45 minutes in this body, he knew it wasn’t for him.

Unfortunately, Steve could complain as much as he wanted, but there was little the staff could do for him. The body that you swapped with when you arrived on the island was the body you were stuck with until you left, and there wasn’t any possible thing anybody could do about that.

Steve wasn’t exactly satisfied with that answer. He yelled, he screamed. The staff even offered a full refund, but Steve kept insisting that money wasn’t the point. He just couldn’t do it; he couldn’t deal with being a woman. The manager finally had to pull Steve into her office to go over the fine print of the contract he signed. She told him that she knew he was upset, but the legal language was clear. When she still didn’t calm down, she finally snapped. She snarled that he only had to deal with being a woman for two weeks, while she had been stuck in the body of a woman since taking this job five years ago. She informed him that he just needed to suck it up or he could spend the two weeks in a special jail-like room that they had made in the basement for the worst of the worst guests.

Steve finally shut up.

Those Who Can't Do

Just about every student in class hated Miss Wang. Sure, the guys would admit that she was nice to look at, but she assigned a heavy workload and she was very strict. Warren didn’t even think she was that smart. He knew it was pretty arrogant, but he was pretty certain that he knew just about everything she was teaching and that he could do a better job than she could. He was prepared to test his theory with a spell he found on the internet. He mumbled it quietly at the end of class, and he soon found himself swapped into her body. He was hoping to have the evening to prepare before starting to teach class the next day, but before he could leave, another teacher informed him that he was handling detention duty today.

Warren groaned. He didn’t want to spend the next two hours looking after the biggest slackers in school. He forgot that teachers had to do this kind of crap from time to time. As the few students filed into Miss Wang’s classroom, he was a little surprised that they all just took out books and started studying. About fifteen minutes in, one of the students raised their hands with a question. Warren saw this as the first opportunity to show off. He understood the question, but explaining the hows and whys to the student was a lot tougher. Warren was humming and hawing with difficulty. Being a teacher was about more than understanding; it was being able to articulate that understanding. Warren’s heart began to race. The spell would last a week. How was he ever going to lead a class if he couldn’t teach?

Martin ran down to the corner to buy a bouquet. He knew it wouldn’t be enough to make up for his mistake, but it was a start. He didn’t know how he was ever going to apologize enough to Kim to make up for losing the medallion. He was the one that pressured her to try it, to experiment with swapping bodies for a bit. And he was the one that was supposed to keep it safe; he was keeping it around his neck while they were swapped. He wasn’t sure how or when it fell off, but when he returned home and realized it was no longer there, he knew what that meant.

It meant he’d be in Kim’s body for the rest of his life, and she’d be in his. They were stuck as each other. He knew he’d be spending a lot of time over the next few days trying to retrace his steps, trying to see if he could find it again. He also knew he’d been spending a lot of time saying “I’m sorry.” And he’d be saying it again and again in as many different ways as possible. Flowers were a start, but he still had a LONG way to go before she’d forgive him.

The coffee machine beeped repeatedly. Charlie turned around with a scowl on his face.

“This is all your fault, Anna,” He said addressing the coffee machine, “That weird magical charm you brought into the office that could switch people’s souls. You thought it was hilarious when you swapped us and we ended up in each other’s bodies. You weren’t laughing so hard when you then went to accidentally swap your soul into the coffee machine.

”I left the thing on your desk for a few minutes because I had to go the bathroom, and now it’s gone.”

Anna quieted down for a few minutes. With her soul stuck inside the body of the coffee machine, all she could do was beep. She knew who took the charm from her desk, but she had no idea how to express that to Charlie. Unless she could figure out a way, she knew she’d be stuck like this; and Charlie would be stuck too. At least he was still human though; however, she was worried what he might do if left in control of her body for a long time.

Derek had heard many stories about the Medallion of Zulu, but he never expected to actually find it himself. It had just been sitting there on the side of the road. It didn’t seem possible, but soon enough he had transformed himself into a gorgeous woman. Since he had heard the tales, he was also aware of the medallion’s tendency to get lost, leaving a person trapped in a different body. Derek knew he had to be careful. It might be fun to be a woman for a while, but he still wanted his own body back soon enough. He was sure to put it in a place where he couldn’t lose it. He placed the medallion in a small safe and put that inside the second drawer of his dresser.

And after twelve hours in the body of a woman, he was more than ready to go back to normal. Sure enough, the safe was still in the drawer. But where had the key gone? He had lost it! He was going to have to call a locksmith, but his heart was racing. It didn’t make any sense, but for some reason he couldn’t help but wonder if the medallion was going to still be inside when he opened it...

It was in the 90s when Jim made a ton of money off the dotcom bubble. It was easy for him to retire early and sail around the world on his yacht with his beautiful girlfriend. Unfortunately, while in the middle of the ocean, they hit a reef. Jim was sure he could fix it if they were on land; luckily, they spied an uncharted island in the distance. However, as they approached, things got weird. Quite unexpectantly, Jim and his girlfriend ended up swapping bodies. It was more than disorienting for Jim, and it inhibited his ability to repair the boat. His girlfriend’s body wasn’t strong enough to lift a lot of the materials, so he had to bark orders at her as she did the work.

A few days passed before they were able to fix the yacht up well enough to leave the island. After they got a safe enough distance off, they swapped back to their own bodies. Out of curiosity, Jim turned the boat back toward the island. When they got close enough, they swapped again. It seemed crazy, but there was only one possible conclusion, something about the island swapped people’s bodies. Jim thought about what he could do. He could build a one-of-a-kind resort. It might be hard to convince construction workers to build something here, but he was sure he could charge people a lot of money for a vacation where they literally spent time off as someone else. He jotted down the coordinates, eager to return to the place he and his girlfriend had called “Exchange Island.”

Making Up for Lost Time

In the moments after the Great Shift, Kevin wondered if he was going to forever traumatized by his new body. He had been in his dorm room studying for an exam when he suddenly found himself shopping at a grocery store instead. Looking at the hands pushing a cart, he wasn’t just horrified because of the manicured nails or small, feminine size; it was also because they were clearly older than his own. He rushed to a bathroom to have his fears confirmed. He was a woman now who appeared to be around 40. In an instant, he had around 20 years of his life. It was scary; he began to cry.

A few months later, any fear of potential trauma had disappeared from Kevin’s mind. He had finished up his degree and begun a career. He had gotten used to being a woman, and he had to admit to himself that he was fairly attractive. But he knew that due to his body’s age, he’d have to work to keep it that way; it’d be pretty easy to let himself go. But working out every day just made him feel better about himself and his situation. Sure, he was older now, but did he really lose 20 years of life? He was sure the way he was motivated to take care of this new body could add that much time to his life plus some.

Quiet Girl

For as long as Jacquie could remember, she always had a crush on her best friend Maya. Of course, she could hardly admit to herself that she was a lesbian, let along Maya. She just sort of pushed those feelings down even as Maya started dating Paul.

Jacquie hated being a quiet girl who couldn’t express this aloud. She even had a stereotypical job at a library. But one day as she was reshelving books, a piece of paper came out of one. A handwritten note inside claimed to be a body swapping spell. It was easy to be skeptical, but Jacquie was also a little bit curious. She went into the bathroom and read the spell with a clear target in mind: Paul.

She was surprised when it instantly worked, and she suddenly found herself in Paul’s body. The first few days were like a dream. She made out with Maya, they watched movies together on the couch, and they even made love. Jacquie was in heaven. But cracks soon began to appear. Maya started to become distant, their intimate sessions soon stopped, and Maya often decided to sneak off. One day, Jacquie decided to follow Maya. It wasn’t much of a surprise that she went to the club; Maya was always a bit of a party girl. What did surprise her was that Maya was there dancing and making out with Paul in her old body. Maya saw Jacquie, turned and smiled.

“Did you really think Maya would be fooled for long?” Paul asked, “Come on. She knew something was off almost the day after we first swapped.”

“I can’t believe you never told me you were a lesbian, Jacquie. Didn’t you know I was bi?” Maya added, “But it’s about your body; it’s about who you are. You are just too gentle, too meek. It’s just not my type. I’m staying with Paul...even if he has your body now.”

Different (Part 2)

Julian considered walking back down to where he had been, to find out who had his body now. But the screams hadn’t stopped. People were still really freaking out; he could only presume that people weren’t nearly as happy with their new bodies as he was. If he headed down there, he was pretty sure that he was just going to make things even worse. Plus, whatever caused this probably couldn’t be resolved any time soon. He was stuck with this body now, and he still couldn’t complain.

So Julian decided to head off instead. He wasn’t sure what he was going to do with himself or this body, and it didn’t take long for him to realize as he walked along that just about everyone on the street was in the same position as he was. He only guessed that the whole world was just going to have to deal with this problem together.

Friday, March 17, 2017

Julian heard screams and jerked his head back. Whatever chaos was going on, he was glad to be a ways from it. But hadn’t he just been standing down there a second ago? He was suddenly in a different place -- not far away but still not where he was. Then he realized that he wasn’t just in a new place, but he was also in a new body. Those screams he heard suddenly made a lot more sense. He was guessing that he wasn’t the only one who had just found themselves in a new body.

A quick assessment of his new body and he couldn’t exactly complain. Sure, he was a woman now, but he was clearly a damn attractive one with a great figure and an ass that just didn’t quit. The leather pants and heels were a bit much for him, but changing clothes didn’t seem like a big deal. He wasn’t sure if there was going to be a way to reverse this swap, but he wasn’t sure that he wanted to if he could...

Ben had agreed to use the Medallion of Zulu to swap bodies with his girlfriend for 24 hours. So far, he had hated every minute of it. It seemed that he couldn’t even walk outside without some guy hitting on him, or whistling, or making a rude comment. It didn’t even matter if he went out in jeans and a baseball cap. He couldn’t help but wonder if his girlfriend just had to put up with this sort of thing every day. It had only been a few hours now; how was he going to make it through a full day like this? His plan right now was to just go home and hide inside. Then he realized he had left his keys at home, and his girlfriend had gone out with his body. He was stuck outside until she got back. He was just going to have to deal with the comments and guys hitting on him...ugh...

Identity Theft

Brian didn’t quite know what to expect when he downloaded an app called “Identity Theft.” He couldn’t even remember exactly how he stumbled across it. When he opened it, the interface looked weird. It simple had access to the phone’s camera with a button and the text “Select a Target.” He snapped a few photos and got the error message, “No Target Found.”

He didn’t think much of it until a few hours later when his friend Suki showed him a small painting she had made. He pulled out his phone and took a picture of her with it, not realizing he was taking it with the Identity Theft app. Then the most unexplainable thing happened, Brian began to transform.

His hair grew out, his facial features softened, even his clothes changed. In a matter of seconds, he had transformed into an exact copy of Suki! Her jaw dropped as the two just stared at each other for a minute. Then the changes continued. This time they affected Suki, as she changed into a copy of Brian. They stared again at each other, realizing that they had effectively completely swapped bodies.

Brian pulled out his phone and began to explain about the app that he had downloaded. It seemed to be completely frozen with Suki’s face on his screen. He couldn’t even seem to force quit or turn off the phone. He showed her.

Suki then pulled out her own phone and downloaded the app. Sure enough, she opened it up and found the prompt to “Select a Target.” She tried to take a picture of Brian to swap back, but an error message came up on the screen: “Target Already Selected by Another User. Please Select Unique Target.”

Raphael never understood why this was considered the off-season on Exchange Island. The weather was so beautiful this time of year, and yet the crowds were nowhere to be found. As a plus, Raphael found himself in a stunning body this time around. But as he looked around, he found it odd that his original body was nowhere to be seen. In fact, for the entire time, he hadn’t seen it once. He shrugged, figuring it was a big enough resort to avoid seeing himself.

Prom (Part 2)

Greg hated to admit it, but the whole experience of prom had actually started to make him like the idea of being a woman. He enjoyed dancing with Amy and being held tight and made to feel safe as he was held in what had been his own arms until just last week. However, things took a bit of an odd turn when they walked out of the event.

Amy pulled out a pair of keys to a hotel room. Greg stood there with his arms crossed and a stern look on his face. He couldn’t believe what she was suggesting. Sure, he had a good time. Yes, he had even gotten quite used to being in the woman’s role. But losing his virginity? That was something he was not ready for.

Amy began to protest. She explained to Greg that they had discussed this all before the Shift; that this was the plan for the evening. Greg bluntly said that the Shift had changed things. She kept pressuring, asking what he was afraid of; Greg held firm.

It was hard for Greg to do what he did next, but he felt like he didn’t have a choice. He broke up with Amy. He had to stand there and say goodbye to his own body. It was weird. He thought he’d be with her forever; swapping with her had nearly cemented that idea in his mind. But the way she tried to pressure him to night was unacceptable.

Sunday, March 12, 2017

Greg knew that his girlfriend Amy had been looking forward to prom for months. The last thing he wanted to do was disappoint her, but the Great Shift occurring the week before certainly complicated things a little bit. Greg knew his situation wasn’t THAT bad. He and Amy had simply swapped with each other; he was now in her body and she was in his. Considering that some of his classmates swapped with the teachers or their own parents, he knew he actually had it pretty good. At least he loved Amy, and, plus, Amy was hot. However, since the Shift, Greg had worn mostly jeans and t-shirts; now Amy was talking about how excited she was to see Greg wear the dress she had bought weeks ago. She told him the best salon to get his hair and makeup done at.

He groaned quietly to himself as she spoke of it all, and he groaned aloud when he actually went through with it all, spending hours in a chair to get done up for the big night. He finally arrived on Amy’s doorstep with a sour look on his face, but he began to cheer up when he saw how delighted she was with how he looked.

He was so uncomfortable, but he told himself that it was all worth it if it made her happy.

Time to Recharge

The distance from the subway to Vicki’s office wasn’t far, but Ted was still having trouble with it due to the heels on his feet. He spread his arms out to help keep his balance. He didn’t want to wear the heels, but he didn’t have much of a choice; he had promised to keep up appearances. Or, rather, he was blackmailed into it.

He had been as surprised as anyone when his latest attempt at a brain swapping machine had actually worked and he ended up switching bodies with his neighbor, Vicki. It would take a few days for the machine to recharge to full power, and Vicki promised not to tell anyone about the weird machine on the one condition that Ted continue to do her job and keep all her appointments until it was fixed.

Ted was pretty sure that Vicki’s basic accounting job would be pretty easy for his genius level intellect that he agreed in an instant. What was much harder for him was getting up for work in the morning and looking presentable, as Ted was a bit of a slob who made his own hours.

Ted rolled his eyes when she explained that she had to be work by nine. When she tried getting him to wear a dress, he protested. He talked her down to a pair of nice slacks, but she became insistent on the heels. On this point, it was Ted who finally caved. However, he quickly wished he hadn’t. The walk from her place to the subway was tough, then he luckily got a seat on the train. Now he was back on his feet again, and he was sure he looked like an idiot. If he was trying to present a reasonable illusion that he was really Vicki, he was starting to think the way he walked awkwardly in heels might give him immediately away. He couldn’t wait until his machine was recharged and he could get back to normal!

Police Station

Derek sat in the waiting area of the police station. He knew how crazy his story sounded, but he kept repeating it. “I’m telling you, I’m not a prostitute.”

“Oh, believe me, you are a prostitute,” The police officer said, “At least you are now. We have plenty of video evidence to convict you, but the only reason you’re waiting up here instead of in a cell is because of this body swapping thing you keep talking about. We’ve had about a dozen people in here this week with similar claims. The first few people we just thought were crazy, but by the fourth or fifth, we wondered if there was something to it. What can you tell us?”

“I was minding my own business, then this punk starts to mug me. I quickly realize the gun he has looks like a toy, so I just shrug him off instead of handing anything over. Next thing I know, he zaps with that damned thing and I find myself in the back seat of a car doing things that I don’t care to repeat to some strange guy. I get out of there as fast as I can, and then you guys pick me up.”

“If you can describe the guy who mugged you, this story just might check out...”

Walk of Shame

Just about everyone knew about the Walk of Shame, a ritual of walking back to your place in the morning while wearing the clothes you had worn the night before after hooking up with someone at the club. For the past five years of so, Bill had successfully avoided the ritual by always making sure to invite the women he picked up back to his place instead of going back to theirs. He never expected the tables to be turned on him like this.

It all started normally enough. He arrived at the club to scope out the women. He noticed an Asian woman in a blue dress; he bought her a drink; they started dancing. It wasn’t long before they were making out and he had invited her home. It continued to move quickly until they had both collapsed on his bed together after their throes of passion. In fact, the afterglow was probably the best Bill could ever recall. He felt a tingle all over and a little bit lightheaded.

It felt so good, in fact, that it took him until the next morning to realize that things weren’t right. At some point in their passion, the two had apparently swapped bodies. Bill was horrified. It wasn’t just because he was a woman, but because he’d have to put back on her blue clubbing dress and walk back to her apartment to get a change of clothes.

He had hated doing the Walk of Shame as a man; that’s why he did all he could to avoid it for years. But doing it as a woman was even worse! Not only did he feel the sweat of last night with yesterday’s clothes on his body as he walked, but the stares of people, particularly men, judging him or checking him out were just beyond weird.

Seven (Part 2)

It was Monday again. A full week had gone by without anyone being able to locate his original body. Jack had used the weekend to buy some clothes that were a bit more to his liking. There was no way he’d be able to afford the cost of replacing Angie’s entire wardrobe, but a few new t-shirts that covered his chest were a nice thing to have. While he was now no longer under any obligation to do so, he kept with Angie’s daily runs. He would always sprint down to the water, where he’d rest a few minutes. He figured if he was going to be stuck in this body, he could at least keep it looking good. Plus, the rest by the beach always seemed to be good for clearing his head. He was trying to come to terms with the fact that this was going to be his body for the foreseeable future. It was going to be weird, but he was starting to think that it might not be so bad.

Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Seven (Part 1)

The experiment was supposed to last for seven days. Jack had known this when he arrived on that Monday morning. He also knew exactly what he was agreeing to; to be swapped with his college classmate Angie for that time. He’d be spending the week as her, keeping up appearances as much as possible. He’d follow her schedule, her routine. He hated it the entire time. Her clothes were too tight and revealing; her interests were boring to him. He was eager to go back. But when he returned to the lab the following Monday, she didn’t. It meant that he was stuck as her, at least until they could locate his body. For the next few days, he just continued as best he could as her and with her routine. He hoped the call would come at any second, but it was now Wednesday. He had run down to the beach on her morning jog. He wondered why he kept it up. Now that the seven days were over, he didn’t have to, did he? She was the one in breach of contract; he could now do anything he wanted.

Monday, March 6, 2017

Isaac lived on the farm his grandparents had bought when they were young. He hated going down to the city, but the past few growing seasons had been weak. An ad in the paper offered a lot of money for participating in an experiment. The ad was scant on details, but Isaac was desperate. He needed the money to keep the farm going, and he’d do anything for that farm.

The researchers had created an “opposite ray.” Isaac seemed skeptical; it seemed more than outlandish, but for what they were offering, he agreed. Sure enough, after they zapped him, he began to change. Suddenly, instead of being a down to earth white guy, he was transformed into a stylish black woman. They asked him to experience his new life and return in two hours to report how he felt and get his payment.

As Isaac walked outside, he couldn’t believe he was doing this. He’d have to spend the next two hours wandering the city as a woman. He knew he hated the city, but then he realized that no longer seemed to be true. He thought about the cash he was going to get to save his farm. Then he realized he didn’t even care about the farm anymore. Did he even need the money anymore? He certainly FELT rich now. And, for that matter, did he even want to go back two hours later to return to normal? He knew he had enjoyed being a trashy redneck from the country, but right now he was completely grossed out by the idea of becoming a trashy redneck from the country again. He had truly turned into his own exact opposite.

“I can’t say the results of the Great Shift have been completely easy for me,” Margaret told the therapist, “i don’t want to sound racist, but being an Asian woman is just different from being white. I think I’ve adjusted well enough though. My husband on the other hand...”

“I’m a chick,” Lance blurted out, “I’m a fucking chick.”

“He hasn’t adapted so well. Though I’ve lent him all the clothes and makeup he could possibly need, he refuses to act ladylike.”

“That’s because I ain’t a lady!”

“And how’s your physical relationship?” The marriage therapist asked.

“Better than ever,” Margaret piped in, “He’s a much more kind and gentle lover now.”

Lance scoffed, “Dude, I can’t even possibly get a hard on anymore. How do you THINK I feel about our physical relationship?”

Body Shop

Old? Ugly? Just plain bored with your body? It didn’t take technology very long to be able to genetically engineer beautiful bodies and grow them to adulthood without any functioning thought; couple this with the development of brain transplantation and a whole new industry was born.

Bill had been the advertisements for a while, but he had been hesitant. He was getting older, but buying a whole new body was just so expensive. The discovery of a tumor resulted in his doctor giving him a prescription, which meant insurance would now cover it. Suddenly, the cost of getting a new body was a whole lot cheaper.

When he arrived at the office, Bill was a little creeped out. Next to the woman at the front desk stood a few sample bodies. They were flesh and blood, breathing humans, but without any thoughts, they simply stood there motionless. As he filled out a few forms, the receptionist explained that there were plenty more bodies in the back, but if he was interested in any of the ones out front, they could easily swap his brain into one of the bodies as he looked around.

He thought about quickly bolting out of the room, finding the experience weird. Instead he pointed timidly and said, “That one.”

The swap was instant and painless. The woman simply put a helmet on his head, a few moments later, she removed it -- only now it was no longer on the same head. Bill stood in a slightly different position in the room, now looking at his own body standing lifeless. He looked down to see the striped shirt, ripped jeans, and purple heels that he had seen on the body only moments ago. He picked a woman’s body out of curiosity, thinking he’d pick a male one as his final decision after looking through the back rooms.

He was lead back and allowed to explore on his own. He did so in silence, with only the clicking of his heels on the floor making noise. He didn’t approach any of the bodies too closely; it was still too weird seeing real human beings just standing there unable to act. In fact, it was hard for him to believe the body he had now had been one of those lifeless beings just moments ago. He almost felt a little bad if he was to abandon it to that fate. Plus, after walking around for a while with it, the body simply felt...comfortable. As he made his way through the last of the rooms, he smiled. He had made a decision. He was going to keep this body. He had given it a test run, and he liked it. Sure, it might be a little weird to be a woman from now on, but it hadn’t been so bad so far. Granted, it had only been about fifteen minutes, but how much could he possibly have to learn about being a woman?

Salvage (Part 2)

Howard walked back to the lobby of the abandoned building. The first thing he learned was that running around in six inch platform heels wasn’t exactly easy. Of course, with the amount of debris on the ground make taking them off an implausible option as well.

When he looked out to the parking lot out front, Howard discovered a second problem. Thankfully, his truck was still there, but someone had cleaned out a lot of the tech equipment that he salvaged from the building. It was at least half gone. Frustrated, he put his hands on his hips.

He could go back and grab more. Of course, with this smaller frame and with these shoes, he’d move slower and have to take more trips. Doing so might just give more opportunity to whoever raided his truck. He could just make do with what they didn’t take. It was going to be hit or miss if he had taken the right equipment and parts to build his own transformation machine. Maybe the right things were still in there; if he had even gotten the right things in the first place. Finally, he could make the long trek back to the object that had transformed him into this woman.

He stood there pondering his options for a few minutes. Ultimately, he decided to take his truck back home. He’d unload everything into his basement and get to work. If he could build something to get him back to normal, that’d be amazing; if he couldn’t, he’d come back. He’d go back to that weird glowing object and be transformed again.

The large warning signs should’ve been a clear indication to stay away, but Howard was much too interested in the abandoned industrial building to stay away. There was a bunch of weird technology that he was pretty excited to salvage. It took about ten trips to fill up the back of his pickup truck. He decided that he’d take just one more trip inside, then he’d be done for the day.

It was an area surrounded by warning signs and a broken chain link fence. There was something weird inside that was glowing. There wasn’t any power in the building, so Howard started to imagine the device was some sort of new, experimental power source. When he reached out and touched it, everything went dark.

He awoke some time later, still in the abandoned building with the object still glowing an eerie yellow. But something was different -- very different. It was his body. Instead of being the average nerdy tech guy that he once was, he was now a gorgeous woman with the clothes to match. That device certainly wasn’t an energy source; Howard’s best guess was that it was some sort of transformation device. He could go back in and try to touch it again. Maybe he’d be transformed back...or maybe he’d be transformed into something worse. If he touched it again, would he even remain human?

Of course, he had quite a bit of stolen, unknown tech in his truck. If this company had been working on the kind of stuff that could do this, he might be able to use the stuff he had stolen to recreate the device but with a little bit more control. Maybe he could use what he had taken in order to get himself back to normal.

Diet (Part 2)

Jonathan had been so overjoyed to have lost weight in an instant thanks to being swapped into a new body by the Great Shift that he didn’t consider the fact that keeping this new body thin might take some effort. In fact, he celebrated his new body with a great big meal. And he kept up the way he had been eating before the Shift...with no exercise as well. It didn’t take very long before his new body began to gain quite a bit of weight. In fact, after a year, the amount he had gained was considerable.

He didn’t think it was much of a problem, since he still weighed less than he had in his old body. Of course, he hadn’t taken into account his new body was shorter than his old one, nor did he consider the differences between men and women. It didn’t take him long to be back to an unhealthy weight.

Despite this, he still enjoyed embracing his new femininity. He still loved wearing dresses and heels. Plus, despite the extra pounds, he was damn sure that he still looked hot as hell.
