Altered Fates (The Movie Trailer)
I don't usually post any videos on this particular blog. (I tend to do that elsewhere.) However, with the advent of AI video, it has really opened up a new way to tell stories, and I honestly couldn't be more excited. I already promoted my YouTube channel last week, but I thought I'd give a shout out to a few of the videos on there by linking them on this site as well. I dunno, I guess I just think they are pretty decent in terms of content. And if people hadn't already sniffed them out or seen them already, now their chance. Also, maybe it helps with SEO? I dunno. I've never been good at SEO; I just like showing off what I do sometimes. I figured it also couldn't hurt to encourage people to like and subscribe and whatnot.

Monkey Business (Part 2)
View Part 1 of Monkey Business.
I wasn’t quite sure what hit me. What I soon realized though was that I was the one now inside Minh’s body while my body was the one grunting and acting crazy. A few other people were murmuring about swapped bodies and animal rights activists; however, it was impossible to explain any of this to zoo staff. They came and put Minh (who was still inside the body of a monkey) into a cage.
No one ever came forward to claim responsibility for any of it. I was stuck in Minh’s body with no way to prove I was anyone else. My own body was put in a mental hospital. But I think Minh probably had it the toughest. She was stuck in the body of that monkey, being forced to live at the zoo. I came to visit her often. It was hard for me, but I’m sure it was worse for her. We’ve both committed to learning sign language so we could communicate, but it’s early yet...

Monkey Business (Part 1)
It was my third date with Minh. We had gone to dinner, and then to the movies. And now we were going to the zoo. Why the zoo? I dunno. I guess I picked it because it seemed like one of those things actual couples do, and I was ready to go from casual dating to asking Minh to be my girlfriend. It ended up being one of those sweet, cheesy moments at the start of the day, and she began hanging off my arm as we walked through the place.
A few hours in, we broke our physical attachment so I could go use the bathroom. I probably wasn’t in there for more than five minutes, but Minh was acting very strange when I came out. She was walking around with her knuckles on the ground and grunting. I tried talking to her but she sort of slashed one of her arms at me and screeched.
Things only got weirder when I noticed a monkey walk around the corner carrying Minh’s purse. It was walking upright and looked up to me with a sad face.
As my mind was processing the fact that my new girlfriend seemingly just swapped bodies with a monkey, I felt a strong warm pulse on my back. Then I blacked out.

The Fly
It didn’t take long for Seth to realize his teleportation machine had screwed up. There was another organism inside the machine with him during the test -- a fly. And judging from his transformed gender as well -- a female fly, in particular. But he was sure he could reverse the process and separate his human DNA from the fly’s. He just needed to concentrate.
But concentration was difficult to achieve. While his human instincts wanted to focus on the problem, the fly parts of him were easily distracted. He found himself drawn to a light in his basement for several hours; he did nothing but just stare at it, occasionally touching it. And then he smelt something.
He head jerked around in a distinctively insectoid manner. The smell was so good. He wandered upstairs to his cupboard to locate a large bag of sugar. He ate it all in one sitting and still wanted more. His nose picked up another sweet smell, and this time he began pouring out the garbage and eating it.
There was a part of him that was still telling him that eating garbage was gross; it made him want to vomit. But the other part of him seemed to welcome the idea of vomiting as part of this magnificent feast, and that this might be the perfect place to start laying some eggs.

Slaughterhouse One
Alice hugged the pig hard in her arms.
“You can’t send him off to the slaughter,” She begged her father, “Trust me, you really can’t!”
“What’s gotten into you, Alice?” Her father asked, “Ever since you got back from college, you’ve been acting weird. You know all the pigs have got to go today. They’ve already been bought.”
Of course, what Alice wasn’t mentioning was that she wasn’t Alice at all. She was Robert, Alice’s boyfriend, who she had met at college. They had taken some tech from the research lab that could supposedly swap two people’s brains. They were messing around with on the first day back in the barn when the pig entered. Robert ended up in Alice’s body; the pig was in Robert’s; Alice was now inside the pig. Nothing Robert did could seem to get the device working again.
Dealing with the pig in his body had been challening enough, but now Alice’s father was trying to send her to the slaughterhouse! Of course, he had no clue his daughter’s brain was inside the pig’s body, and Robert had no desire to confess the truth. But he did have to figure out some what to save Alice!

Amy wondered if she could get the dog to press the buttons in the elevator to get them both down to the basement again to hopefully sort out this mess. First, she tried a series of encouraging barks to get the dog in her body to stand, then she tried to run along the floor to communicate where the elevator was. It all seemed to be working.
Just as they got to the elevator, the door opened. Dr. Baxter stood there, or at least his body did. The dog in Amy’s body growled at the man standing there, and Amy in the dog’s body could feel that something didn’t seem right.
“Oh, this is too good,” The doctor’s body said, “I wanted you and that whistleblowing doctor out of my hair, but this is too good! I’ll be having the doctor now inside the body of that undocumented janitor deported by morning. And you?” He picked up Amy in the dog’s body, “You can be my new pet! Don’t think of biting me, or I will have you put down!” He then turned to the dog in Amy’s body, “But what to do with you? Maybe an insane asylum is a good place for a woman acting like a dog. Regardless, none of you are getting your bodies back, and your plans to bring down this company surely have failed. I hope all of you enjoy your new fates.”

Expose (Part 4)

Amy and the janitor returned that night, and Dr. Baxter let them in through a back door. Amy noticed the janitor had changed her clothes and couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable that he had done so. They went down to the basement, and Dr. Baxter prepped the machine once again. Amy was getting used to the flashing light by this point.
Once again, she was sure she was not in her own body. She was in a warm bed with what felt like a thick furry blanket on her. Everything looked quite large. Then her heart sank as she realized what body she was in; she was the dog from yesterday.
She jumped up and tried to rush back down to the elevator. Running on all four was difficult to adapt to, and she was much smaller than she was used to. Without any thumbs or fingers, she was unable to properly press the buttons. She looked for stairs.
Instead, she found herself in the main server room. It seemed her own body had apparently gotten up here somehow. It was walking around on all fours and panting. She could only guess that just as her brain was inside the dog’s body, the dog’s brain must be inside of hers!

A Walk in the Park (Part 2)
Jake sooned learned that the chaos was traced back to the kid with the ray gun, which made sense since that was the last thing he could remember before being swapped into a new body. He also soon learned he was a little bit luckier than most. He had been swapped completely; others merely had parts swapped. When he finally found his dog, he wasn’t even sure if it was actually his dog with a woman’s body or a woman with his dog’s face. She seemed to act pretty dog-like, and Jake was soon convinced it was. Of course, it was a little harder for Jake to convince his dog who he really was, considering he now probably appeared to be a strange woman to the dog. Nevertheless, a friendly face and a few dog treats, and Jake was able to put a collar around her and lead her away from the park. Of course, Jake didn’t get very far before realizing heading back to the park to find the kid was probably the best option. Even if he wasn’t able to get himself back to normal, he was absolutely sure his dog wasn’t going to manage being 80% human!

Options
Robert had only a few choices. The first was to give his wife her body back. He’d be stuck as the dog. He took this option off the table as if his body showed up again, his wife didn’t know how to use the body swapper, and he’d be unable to with paws.
He could leave her as a dog for good. This seemed needlessly cruel.
His final option was to try to find his wife a new body, but picking one thus far had proven difficult. He felt bad stealing someone else’s life, and even when they found someone that fit, convincing a stranger to come back his house proved difficult. Robert could tell his wife was getting quite impatient...

Dog Day Afternoon
As soon as she got into Rex’s body, Angelica wanted to run around the neighborhood, to feel what it would be like to be wild and free. Rex, on the other hand, just continued to do weird dog stuff despite his now human body. When he saw his girlfriend’s body licking just about everything, he got concerned. He knew this would probably make her sick and decided it might be best for him to swap himself into Angelica’s body and Rex into his own body. If anyone was going to get sick, it was going to be Henry’s body.
So sure enough, he did just that. Henry then waited, feeling the uncomfortable weight of breasts on his chest and heels on his feet. He did his best to keep Rex from doing anything too bad with his body, but he really hoped Angelica got home soon...

To the Vet
“Relax, Candice,” Her body said, “It will be okay. I’m taking you in get neutered and you should calm down after we’re done.”
Did Candice hear that right? Neutered? What was going on here?
Almost on cue, Candice’s body seemed to answer that question, “I invented a body swapper and decided I wanted to steal your body. I thought about sticking you with my fat, old body, but doing so would still give you the capacity to activate my machine and swap us back, so I swapped you with my cat instead; he’s now running around in my body. You never noticed me as your neighbor, the quiet and awkward George Livoski. You never talked to me, never said ‘hi’ in response to my shy waves. And now you’re a cat. And if you’re not good, you’ll soon be a stray cat. Now, let’s get you neutered and declawed.”

Zap (Part 2)
Will must’ve aimed wrong or there was some sort of malfunction, because he soon found himself in the body of his sister. His own body now had the blank look in its eyes. Will was ready to zap them all again, but it seems that while his cat hadn’t learned not to eat the house plants, it did learn how to use the door knob. Soon, the cat in Will’s body ran out the door. Will looked around and didn’t see his body anywhere around the neighborhood. He grabbed a bike from the garage and began to ride around.
Will knew time was running out. When his sister woke up in the body of his cat, she’d be freaking out. He was frustrated. Where could his body be? That’s when he saw the emergency vehicles. There had been an accident. Will hoped his body survived, but what if it hadn’t?
He couldn’t swap his own mind into the cat. It would be such a loss. After all, he was a genius! He could make inventions that could change the world! He couldn’t do that unless he stayed as a human. His sister could stay as a cat for a while longer. What was she? A librarian? Yeah, no big loss.

Zap
No one ever doubted that Will was a genius -- not the least of which was Will himself -- but all those smarts did little to help him figure out a way to stop his cat from eating the house plants. When his sister came for a visit, he thought of a way to teach his cat and test out a new invention at the same time.
He waited until his sister lay down for a nap after she arrived on her red eye flight. Then he aimed the device carefully at her. He zapped Louise and then he zapped his cat. Then he watched as his sister’s body arose. Of course, the first thing she did was start chewing on the house planes. Will knew his invention was successful; he had swapped the bodies of his sister and his cat. He figured with his cat now inside the body of a human, he could explain things about what to do and what not to do. He thought his cat would know have the brain power to understand. Instead, his cat just stared blankly back at him with his sister’s eyes. Will aimed the device at Louise and the cat again, ready to swap them back to normal...
