View Part 1 of Monkey Business.
I wasn’t quite sure what hit me. What I soon realized though was that I was the one now inside Minh’s body while my body was the one grunting and acting crazy. A few other people were murmuring about swapped bodies and animal rights activists; however, it was impossible to explain any of this to zoo staff. They came and put Minh (who was still inside the body of a monkey) into a cage.
No one ever came forward to claim responsibility for any of it. I was stuck in Minh’s body with no way to prove I was anyone else. My own body was put in a mental hospital. But I think Minh probably had it the toughest. She was stuck in the body of that monkey, being forced to live at the zoo. I came to visit her often. It was hard for me, but I’m sure it was worse for her. We’ve both committed to learning sign language so we could communicate, but it’s early yet...
