“I don’t think I like this,” Karen pouted as she looked over to see what looked like her body with her husband’s head attached. Though their heads were both contained in some sort of glass orb, which made her hope this was all some sort of mirror trick. She asked him, “Is this an illusion?”
“Feel how heavy your arms are. Notice the hair on them. Does it feel like an illusion?” Trent asked back. “I agreed to come to couples therapy with you if I got to pick the therapist. I assure you that I’ve heard this immersive treatment is the best for better understanding of each other.”
“This is way more understanding than I want. I just wanted to know how you could cheat on me?”
“And I think within a week or two, you’ll figure that out. It’s not easy being a guy. We have urges.”
“A week? Or two? No. No way am I going to be stuck like this for that long. That inhumane!”
“Oh, that’s just how long it’ll take you to understand. We’re going to be like this for much, much longer...”
