Derek remembered not believing his friends when they told him about the ruins. It wasn’t just that they were a beautiful architectural artifact, but they were also literally magic. They had told him about swapping bodies with some hot chicks who were also there. Though the swapping wore off soon enough, they got him thinking about what it would be like to be a babe for a few hours. He was curious.
The hike to the ruins was well off the beaten path. It took several hours. The ruins themselves were exactly as beautiful as his friends described. But the only other person there was a short, dumpy Asian woman. There was nothing Derek could do as the magic started to take hold.
“Oh, what the hell?” He shouted from Lin’s short female body. “My friends said there were always hot chicks at this place to swap with.”
“I heard the same thing! I just wanted to be pretty!” Lin shouted from inside Derek’s body. “Instead I’m some gangly awkward dorky man. And why the hell would you want to be a woman anyway? You’re a guy!”
“Curiosity, I guess?” Derek paused before also adding, “I’m not dorky.”
