“Well, that explains a lot,” Grace said as she folded her arms after listening to hear about Adam’s day.
She continued, “No one was quite so explicit with me. I could tell people were staring at me in the store, but I just tried to ignore it. However, it does explain what Penelope said to me.”
“What did she say?” Adam asked.
“She was just like, ‘You’re wearing THAT!?’ But she always is like that.”
“I’m surprised more people didn’t lecture you about being a man in a dress.”
“Well, you know how people are around here. They try to be tolerant and everything.”
“I wish my workplace was more like that.”
“I’m sorry. Hopefully we’ll switch back to normal soon.”
“And if we don’t?”
