No Encore

Jackson was breathing heavily and the outlandish outfit he had on was something he would never wear. He could hear a crowd cheering in this distance, but his world was upside-down. This wasn’t his body.

“They’re asking for an encore, Tanya,” He heard a voice say. It was obviously directed at him.

Tanya? The singer? From what he could see of the stage outfit and this body from a first person perspective, it seemed to check out. He was in the body of one of the biggest celebrities in the world, and he had no idea what to do about.

“Not tonight,” He said, “No encore. I can’t. I just...can’t.”

A woman in a skirt suit came rushing over and began to ask if everything was all right. Jackson didn’t even know where to begin how to answer that question.

One Pill Makes You...

All drugs at the pharmacy where detailed and tracked in the computers for obvious reasons, so the stray bottle that Alvin found was worrisome. There was nothing about it in the internal system, and even looking it up on the internet didn’t yield any clear results. Eventually, curiosity got the better of him.

He should’ve known better. Technically, he did know better. Taking a mysterious random drug was a bad idea, yet that’s exactly what he did. It was a single pill, and the change was instant -- transforming his body into a woman’s.

That certainly didn’t make any sense. He knew a good number of trans patients that picked up drugs and would give everything for this sort of miracle treatment. But instead of thinking too much about the good the medicine in the bottle could do in the world, his thoughts quickly turned to ask himself: What would happen if I took a second pill?

First Month at College

Morgan was surprised to see her former body with a big smile on it. She couldn’t remember the last time she had smiled. She had experienced a lot of bullying growing up -- due to either her mixed race heritage in a small, rural, white town; or due to the fact that she was overweight; or both.

But Jay seemed to be beaming from inside Morgan’s body. Of course, Morgan knew why. Jay was a transwoman.

Jay had also grown up in a rural town, and she often hid who she truly was behind a male exterior that was expected of her. For Jay, being inside of Morgan’s body was a dream. She had only recent started hormones thanks to the college health office, but a body swap? Well, it skipped all of that. Morgan was happy to be a part of it, and -- to be honest -- she kind of liked being in Jay’s body, just not nearly as much as Jay seemed to enjoy being in hers.

Not the Plan

It was still pretty hard for Gregory to believe this little doodad could swap people’s bodies, despite the fact that he had not only used it several times now -- he had also figured out how to make it profitable.

He had always been a little bit of a sleaze, so his plan was generally simple while also being shady. Step one: Steal someone’s body. Step two: Charge them money to swap back to normal.

Of course, just about everyone was quick to agree to these terms. Everyone until Michelle. He’d been in her body for three days now, and he hadn’t heard anything -- not a phone call, not an email, not even a text message. No money had been wired into his account. It was almost like she didn’t want to swap back. And without access to her in his body, he wouldn’t be able to swap back; he’d be stuck as her. This wasn’t part of his plan.

Parenting

It was hard for Evan to forget the moment right before the Great Shift, telling his wife that he wasn’t ready to have kids yet and seeing the hurt in her face. The next moment he was inside of a woman’s body with two very demanding toddlers grabbing onto his legs.

A odd, natural motherly instinct came over him at that moment, and he found himself simply pretending to be the woman he appeared to be. As he learned of the Great Shift and how it had given him his present body, he also found this woman’s kids were very lucky to be unshifted. After speaking with this woman, her husband, and his wife, they all agreed it was best for the kids if Evan continued to pretend.

As the years passed and Evan sent both the kids off to elementary school, he was finally glad to get a bit of time for himself. He had been so concerned with raising the kids and being a mom, that he was only now beginning to truly appreciate the fact that he was also now a woman. Things like going to the gym during the school day felt like a vacation, a glass of wine with some other moms was like a God-sent...

Six Foot

It was a sudden change that Marcus experienced when his body just seemed to feel more noodly and gangly. It caused him to stumble, and he dropped his phone and sunglasses -- except that wasn’t his phone and he hadn’t even brought sunglasses with him that day. As he went to pick them up, he realized why -- he was no longer even in his own body!

It certainly explained the sudden feeling of change. His new body was very fall and quite slender -- not to mention a woman. He estimated his new height was close to six feet; it was quite rare to see a woman that tall, but now he’d see one every day. And she was remarkably thin. He wasn’t sure if that had something to do with how tall she was, as correlation certainly isn’t causation, but on that same note, he did wonder if he might be in the body of some type of model.

Generally

The general had never seen such chaos on base before with every solider deserting en masse and ranting about body swapping. He made calls to the Pantagon that went unanswered; the general was baffled.

After about an hour, a woman arrived. She was older and seemed to have way too much plastic surgery to cover up this fact. She began to explain that she was one of the soldiers from the base swapped into this body. The entire world was apparently like this. Everyone had swapped bodies; the general was the apparent exception and not the norm.

The general eyed the woman up and down. If all his soldiers were in this condition, the entire army was going to be in big trouble.

Service Delays

It was a shock for Ron to find himself swapped into the body of his co-worker, Maria. It was even more shocking when they both learned just about everyone in the world had also been swapped.

With everyone everywhere being screwed up, the boss decided just to let everyone go home for the day, and Ron headed into the subway so he could get back to Brooklyn. It probably wasn’t a large logical leap to go from “everyone swapped bodies” to “no one was in a condition to run the trains,” but it wasn’t even something Ron had thought of.

With service delays and cancelations on just about every line, he had no choice but to ask Maria if he could stay with her, as she lived nearby in El Barrio.

Love

John could still remember a time when he loved Amber deeply. After all, that was only about twenty minutes ago before the Role Exchanger hovered over the wedding venue and started switching bodies, personalities, and emotions around. It was just trying to understand the human concept of “love,” but none of the guests realized this. They were all just dealing with new bodies and new feelings.

For instance, John was now in the body of Amber’s friend Lacey. His love changed, too. From a romantic attraction to a long-standing friendship. He knew he once was, he just -- well, he no longer fit that role. Whoever was in his body now seemed happy enough to be dancing with Amber; if that even was still technically Amber. He didn’t really have any way of knowing. It wasn’t like he was going to tell people he was anyone other than Lacey either...

Not Too Bad

Emi always tried to explain to her boyfriend Ted how much she hated camping, yet he would always find some way to drag her along. However, planning a camping trip in the middle of winter proved to be the last straw. Emi wasn’t going to take it anymore, and created a plan that she hoped would teach Ted a lesson for good.

With a little magic, she swapped their bodies. There were certain inconveniences she always experienced as a woman in the woods that she hoped Ted would now appreciate.

And yet, several days into the trip, Ted seemed undeterred; he actually seemed to be enjoying himself! Emi had to ask how he was coping with everything as they sipped on hot cocoa by the fire.

“Well, I probably feel colder than I ever remember being in my life, and using the bathroom is more difficult, but it’s not too bad.” He said with a shrug.

Noodles

Watching the news reports about the Great Shift calmed me down. They didn’t exactly make me feel better about suddenly becoming a woman, but at least it was an explanation. I probably watched for six or seven hours before I got hungry and went to the fridge.

It was empty. Well, mostly. There were a few left over noodles and some sugar packets, but otherwise it was completely empty! The cabinets were only marginally better with some crackers and an unopened ketchup bottle. I pondered for a while how anyone could live like this with almost no food in the house.

I also realized probably nothing would be open and no one would be delivering on account of the Shift. I’d have to do my best. I ate the small number of noodles first; I was still hungry afterwards, but I told myself it was enough. The next morning would be a feast of ketchup on crackers, hoping that would be enough for at least a single store or restaurant to open the next day.

Spreadsheets and Documents

It wasn’t being stuck in Serena’s body that Dave took issue with. In fact, he found being stuck in the body of a woman to be quite pleasant. The skirts that hugged his body, the sweet perfume he applied in the morning -- it all just felt so wonderful.

But then there was her job. He didn’t understand any of it. The spreadsheets, the paperwork -- it was all so confusing. For the first few days, he just let it pile up on her desk. After all, he didn’t expect to be swapped with her for very long; she could just take care of it all when they switched back.

But then days grew into weeks. While Dave was having a blast on nights and weekends, he was worried he’d be fired if he couldn’t figure out Serena’s 9-5. And if he couldn’t do that, he wouldn’t get paid, and those nights and weekends would become far less fun. But no matter how much he tried, none of the documents made sense to him.

Another Spell

Ryan flipped through the pages of the old book. It wasn’t looking promising. Eveything in here talked about how magic spells were permanent. If so, that meant he’d be stuck swapped into Julia’s body forever.

But then again, this thing was older than dirt! Maybe there was a newer edition where the magic has been updated! It seemed like a long shot, but there were still so many books to go through, he had to keep his hopes up. After all, he didn’t want to be stuck as Julia!

And yet page after page revealed few results. Then he finally came across a spell, it wouldn’t reverse the swap, but it might still resolve his issues. It was a short spell that allowed the user to be comfortable in their own skin. It seemed innocent enough, but then again, messing with magic is what got him stuck in this body in the first place.

Synthetic Brain

“I don’t think I understand,” Jeff said looking at the jar, “If that’s my brain in there, then whose brain is inside this woman’s head? Controlling her body?”

The mad scientist was getting tired of explaining this. He had done so several times now. But he sighed as he tried again, “There is no brain inside that woman’s head right now.”

“Then how am I thinking? And moving her fingers and muscles?”

“It’s a synthetic substitute brain of my own design. It does link nicely with organic parts. The greatest revolution in transplants since the artificial heart.”

“But how did I end up in this body?”

“As I said, there is really no part of ‘Jeff’ in that body. The only part of ‘Jeff’ is that brain on the table.”

“Okay, then why are my thoughts in this body?”

“A better question! And a bit of a mixup I’m afraid. Everything that made Jeff who he was ended up in that body’s synethetic brain. Even though, as I said, no part of you is Jeff at all.”

The Canal

The heavy rains the night before had caused the canal that ran through town to crest in a few places. I noticed a woman splashing through one of the places where he had overflowed.

She looked up and asked me, “Do you know why they tell you not to swim in the canal? To not drink the water?”

“I’m going to guess sewage runoff?” I replied.

“No, it was built on a magical water source that can transform someone’s gender. Believe it or not, I was a man yesterday. I tried to drink it again just now, but I’m still stuck as a woman. I’m wondering if the rain diluted the magic, or if the transformation is one way. Could you maybe drink a little bit and see if you change?”

No Phone in Hand

Most people seemed to have a phone in their hand when the Great Shift happened. Instead of going into panic, they searched news sites for information. It was different for me. Sure, I did have a phone in my hand before the Great Shift like everyone else, but now there was a hot cup there instead. My brain didn’t even react for several minutes before it started to burn the tips of my fingers.

The sound of shattering ceramic distracted people from searching on their phones momentarily. Without being able to join them, I finally had to ask aloud, “What’s going on? What happened? Did everyone turn into women?”

“Obviously not,” A man said, “Though we did all switch bodies. People are freaking out about it all over the internet.”

Swapping bodies? I looked down at my hands. I didn’t just become a woman; I had become someone else; someone else’s life...

The Maid Clause

“Is this even legal?” An exhausted Chris asked a very tiring week on Exchange Island, “It feels like slavery. At least it’s only for two weeks.”

Upon landing on the Island, instead of swapping into the body of a guest, he ended up in the body of one of the resort’s maids. And instead of a relaxing vacation, he was immediately put to work.

“It’s in the contract,” His now co-worker Derek explained, “And you should’ve read it more carefully, because you will be stuck here for a lot longer than two weeks.”

“What are you talking about? That’s how long my vacation is. Then it’s time to swap back, like normal. Right?”

“The maid clause is different. It would obviously be hard to get people to work here permanently in someone else’s body, so it’s a rotation of guests in these bodies for six months at a time. You’ll actually be swapped out into a random body who will take over the roll at that point.”

“I’m no even going to get my own body back after all this? Are you serious?”

Bully

Let’s not talk about how I swapped bodies with a woman. I’ll just tell you that it wasn’t malicious, and it wasn’t my fault. As you might imagine, the woman did want her body back -- but I didn’t exactly want to give it back either.

So I made a deal.

If I could stay on the mechanical bull for thirty seconds, I could keep her body. She didn’t want to agree to this, but I was the one in control of her body, and the deal was the only way to get me out of it.

Once I got, you’d better believe I held on for dear life. It felt like I was on forever before I was finally tossed. But my actual time? 30.02 seconds.

She demanded I give it back anyway, but I told her a deal is a deal. Did I feel bad about taking her body? Sure. But I also feel like I earned it fair and square.

Time to Lump Natalie TF in with the Hypocritical Rich Bastards

I don't usually post personal updates on this site. I doubt anyone wants to read them anyway, but today is different. Today is a day when I stop feeling bad or guilty about a thing that's been gnawing at me for a while now. On a certain blog, there was a post critical of me and my use of AI. In all frankness, AI is what allowed me to turn back to captioning; it allowed me to make video content; it's given me a lot more peace with myself than I care to admit.

But within that post, there was a lot of viciousness at me and other people who choose to make TSF content with AI. In the since deleted post, there was a not-so-subtle accusation that this was all some sort money grab. As if I am flush with cash from writing TG Captions or using AI to make videos. I am still waiting for this imaginary money bin of gold to swim in.

And when she wrote the post, I did have a good month! Somewhere in the neighborhood of $50-$100, which I think mentioned in a comment but also warned it was short-lived. Sure enough, January has rolled around and we are back to a monthly loss from generating this stuff. So, yeah, I'm flush with all that NEGATIVE $100 in cash.

Every once and a while, I still visit Natalie's page. I generally like reading her insights and what she has to say. Today was just enlightening. I came across the following quotes:

Rich people just want to keep people away. [M]y investments still made me over $7,000 in unrealized gains this month...

Natalie is exactly the type of rich person she's trying to decry. She's a hypocrite of the worst kind. She's making more in A MONTH in passive income than my captions and videos make in a YEAR, and she's going to fucking guilt trip me about that? Are you kidding me? That is exactly the kind of rich-person behavior she is pretending to decry.

I certainly haven't done this for 10+ years because of the money that it brings in (or doesn't bring in, really), but I'm done feeling bad about the little bit that it does. I felt a sadness and guilt over Natalie's comments initial...maybe I should find a way to offer everything without making money? That guilt is gone. My videos and blog CAN HAVE ADS. Maybe I will even finally accept one of the sponsorships offered in my inbox? Who knows!? I'm certainly through with concerning myself with what one hypocritical rich girl says that kept me down for far too long.

Oh. (Part 2)

View Part 1 of Oh.

She kept calling me up after that, often with a good amount of begging and pleading. I wouldn’t budge for several weeks...until she came up with a compromise plan.

There were a lot of forms and meetings with judges. However, after about six months everything was approved and scheduled, and I stepped out of government body swap chamber in yet another new, different body.

She had called in a friend, a guy who had both his own body die in the Shift along with the mind of the woman he ended up as. He just wanted to be a guy again -- any guy.

So she could have her body back. He’d have my original body. And this new body was all mine. No one would come pleading to me asking for it to be returned to them this time -- though in the end, I was sort of glad to help out while still getting exactly what I wanted...

Deserved It

Andy knew that Marcy was probably enjoying this far too much. Even as the sweat blurred his eyes to the point where he couldn’t see, he could still hear the laughter of his former body.

And he hated to admit it, but he probably completely deserved it.

Before the Great Shift, he had never been nice to women like Marcy. He would mock them at the gym just like she was mocking him now. He guessed he probably made fun of her directly once or twice, though he wouldn’t have bothered to recognize her face before.

And then the Great Shift put him into her the body -- the type of body he would call a “whale” or some other terrible term, the type of body that struggled with only a few push-ups.

He told himself he could improve it and get this body in shape. But Marcy in his former body wasn’t going to make that journey easy.
