Reflecting on the Great Shift several years later, Hiroshi put on the Hello Kitty outfit he so often wore and thought about it all. It was amazing how having a different body had changed who he was so much. He was confident; he was comfortable. He could have never imagined using such words to describe himself before the Shift. No, before the Shift he was shy and nerdy. He was shunned, and now he was popular. People avoided a bubbly fun-loving guy with a Hello Kitty obsession, but a girl with those same traits? Well, there were some days his phone now rang off the hook. And it was all thanks to the Great Shift.

Kamal continued to whine about being a woman. He took off one of the heeled shoes for a bit of relief. :eah was getting a little sick of his complaining.

“Okay,” She told him, “Here’s the deal. You wait here. While I don’t think there’s much hope, I’ll go look for the guy that did this to us. I’ll come back here in an hour and we can discuss what we’ll do next. Best case scenario is that I find this guy, and he switches us back. Worst case -- and much more likely -- we’ll be giving each other a detailed run-down of our lives and how to act as each other.”

“I guess it’s better than no plan at all,” Kamal responded.

Lance was handed a few pieces of paper. At first, he thought he’d be reading off them until he saw the crew with a teleprompter. The paper was just some notes and scribbled front he producer. He looked up at the teleprompter and told himself it was just like reading, nothing more. He needed to stay focused, look at the camera, and just read. He could do this. An assistant grabbed the papers and brushed some make-up in his face.

He heard a voice, “We’re live in 5...4...3...”

He took a deep breath.

Dominic was fairly confident that he could find a new job despite being in Mei’s body. After all, it was her impressive experience and skills that had made her such a threat at his former position in the first place. He didn’t have to mail many resumes before securing an interview. In fact, over the next week, he had three. For the first, he did his best to pick out Mei’s nicest skirt suit. It felt professional, yet feminine, but for Dominic, it also felt a little bit awkward, especially paired with the heels he had picked out. Throughout the interview, he knew he was giving off the vibe that he just wasn’t comfortable, and he knew it would most likely ruin his chances.

Colin soon discovered that his device wasn’t quite stable. He’d find himself stuck in a body from time to time. He’d have to open it up and fix it. Sometimes, he’d have to rebuild it from scratch, starting off with a new container and parts and painstakingly put it back together. As he did this, he kept removing small pieces from the original Medallion of Zulu. Once he had used it all up in his various devices, he knew it would be a bad idea to keep changing into different bodies, but he couldn’t help himself! He was addicted to being other people!
