Dealership (Part 2)

Greg stood a little dumbfounded for another minute or so before someone grabbed his arm, or rather, two someones.

“Come on, Keiko, cars are boring! Let’s do some shopping,” One of the women now grabbing him said.

“You can’t blame Keiko too much,” The other woman said, “Her husband is so rich that he can probably afford to buy her a car once a week! Speaking of which, drinks at the club tonight are on you!”

The two women laughed as they dragged Greg out. They went to all sorts of malls and stores. Greg couldn’t keep up with all their gossiping, and he didn’t buy a thing. They continued out for dinner and finally arrived at the club. Greg felt so awkward, like a fish out of water. And his discomfort was clearly showing.

“What is wrong with Keiko today?” Greg overheard one of the women saying, “She’s usually so much fun, but today she is being a total stick in the mud.”

“Maybe she’s just having a bad day.” Greg felt a warm feeling hearing the second woman coming to his defense. “Maybe her husband lost a ton in the market yesterday.”

Greg’s heart sank a little. It was the second time these women had mentioned that his new body had a husband. He wasn’t looking forward to going home and meeting him!

Happier

Ryan always seemed to be an introvert. He was often described with words like “quiet” or “wallflower.” However, thanks to the new body he received in the Great Shift, Ryan’s friends were starting to see him in a whole new light. Instead of being the quiet guy that no one noticed, he was now the loud woman always trying to be the center of attention. He wore fashionable, stylish clothes. He was always flirting or showing off. Some people may have had a slight change in attitude after the Shift, but Ryan really was like night and day.

He simply told his friends that he was never comfortable in his old body. He acted quiet and awkward because he was quiet and awkward. Something about his new body, it just felt right. In a nutshell, he was simply happier now, and he wanted everyone to know it. He couldn’t describe it any better than that.

Eccentric

It was one thing for Nicole to have agreed to the swap so willingly (Harold did offer nearly his entire fortune to switch bodies with her); it was a much different thing to see how well she adapted to his older, rich, male body. With the body swap being kept secret from the media, people thought she actually was eccentric billionaire, Harold S. Olsen III. She was flawless in public appearances. The other thing that shocked Harold after the swap was Nicole asking him to marry her. He didn’t answer right away, but he ultimately decided it wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Being married to his own former body was sort of weird, but it was a nice feeling at the same time. He realized Nicole must have felt the same way, which is probably why she asked. But he often wondered if she had bigger plans that she just wasn’t sharing with him.

Success

Phil turned around quickly. He smirked as he couldn’t see his old body around anywhere. He had pulled off stealing this woman’s body so successfully. He had gone up to her, took a deep breath in as he mumbled the words to the spell that would cause the swap, then sealed it by planting a giant kiss on her lips. There was quite a commotion in the crowd as the woman now in Phil’s body started to scream. Phil used this to his advantage and quickly darted into the crowd. She tried to follow him at first, but people really didn’t know what was going on, and, if anything, they now saw Phil as an innocent young woman being harassed by a somewhat crazy man. His plan had worked just about perfectly. Now he just needed to find out information about the woman he had swapped with.

Gavin continued to firmly grasp the small device without letting go, hoping to switch back right away. Eileen had other plans. She lied to him, saying there was a minimum amount of time before they could swap back. Gavin gave a look of distress, but she assured him not to worry as she started to tug at the device, but Gavin wouldn’t let go.

She lied to him, saying there was a minimum amount of time before they could swap back. Gavin gave a look of distress, but she assured him not to worry as she started to tug at the device, but Gavin wouldn’t let go.

“I need to give this back to R&D,” She told him while tugging on the device.

“But you aren’t you anymore,” Gavin explained, “We’re going to get in a lot of trouble if my body is the one that tries to return this thing. You’re just going to have to tell me everything I need to know.”

Gavin was now the one scheming, thinking that with Eileen’s body, he could have full access to her resources, and a huge leg up on the other sales staff once he got his body back.
