“Look, I’m sorry,” Bethany shouted over to Wesley, who she saw sitting on the beach.
He ignored her. She was the last person he wanted to talk to, but he kept approaching and apologizing.
“You just seemed so happy in my body. And everything felt so right while I was in your body. I’m sorry I tossed the medallion.”
“Do I seem happy now? Ever since you told me this would be permanent, do I look like I have enjoyed being you? Or being a woman at all? Or even embraced a feminine attitude in the slightest? I enjoyed it when I thought it was temporary. Sure. But forever? I didn’t want this forever. But you know what annoys me the most about it all? You didn’t even ask! You just made an assumption that I wanted to stay as a woman! That I wanted to stay as you! Why? Why would you do that?”
