Weekend Farmer's Market

The Farmer’s Market often had some strange vendors. Amongst the fruit and veggie stands, it wasn’t uncommon for there to be a fortune teller or a tarot card reader. Everyone knew they were scams, of course, but they were still fun. We laughed off the old guy in a wizard costume claiming to be able to do actual magic.

We stopped laughing when he started swapping people’s bodies. I went from being a hippie stoner guy in my 20s to a woman in her 30s. We all begged him to switch us back, but I guess he was pretty hurt by how much we had laughed at him.

So we were all stuck...at least for now. I got all the details about my new body. I was thankful she was single and that she could take a few personal days off from work.

We all just hoped he’d be back to the Farmer’s Market next week and that he’d rethink his grudge against us. Until then, I walked back to her home, feeling weird about my borrowed body the entire time.
