Aaron had noticed Elin at one of his trips to Walmart. He felt a little bit weird about the fact that he had memorized her name, but he also couldn’t get her out of his head. He thought she was beautiful, and he had to accept that he might just be a little bit obsessed. Of course, he also tried to put that all out of his head, considering she was working at Walmart and he guessed she was in her early 20s; he was in his late 30s and was comfortably enjoying upward mobility at his office job.
But then he had to face his obsession head on when he woke up one day in Elin’s body.
Perhaps the most difficult thing for him to accept was how much of her beauty was because of her makeup routine, which he was not able to replicate. That meant as long as he was in her body, her tired eyes would be very clear; any flaws in her skin would be seen. When he arrived to her job at Walmart, he didn’t exactly feel beautiful. He didn’t even feel like Elin, no matter what the nametag said.
