With all the swapping he did, Neil had no idea who Melissa could’ve possibly ended up as. Unfortunately, neither did Melissa. She swapped into the body of the former teacher she had Neil test on earlier. She could only hold onto her wits for a few minutes before she became a prisoner in her own mind. She didn’t have time to find Neil; she didn’t have time to tell anyone. So she just sat, waiting for...someone? She couldn’t remember who she was exactly waiting for, or who she was, or why she was here. She supposed someone would come eventually; someone would help. Right?

Who Am I?

It had been three weeks since Eileen and her husband had been captured by the mad scientist and locked in cells. And last week, Eileen’s husband was taken out for some sort of experiment and he never came back. Things got quiet for a while until the mad scientist took her for a bit of a tour where he opened doors remotely while guiding her around with his voice.

The tour was mostly empty cells, but there was a few failed experiments with mostly disfigured bodies. It was horrifying. As she neared the end, a cell door slid open and Eileen was shocked to see what seemed to be her own body.

“Did you clone me?” She asked with disgust.

“It’s more like a copy,” The voice of the scientist said, “You see, inside that body is the mind of your husband. I was able to transform him by copying your DNA. What may be most remarkable is that he thinks he is you. I have made it so he is not able to see you right now, but don’t worry, I already gave him a tour earlier and he asked quite similar questions when he saw you.”

“But if he doesn’t know who he really is...” Eileen thought about this carefully, “How do I know that’s not really Eileen? How do I know I’m not her husband trapped in a copy of her body?”

“You don’t,” Laughed the scientist.

“I might not really be Eileen,” She whispsered, “I might really be a man? Oh, god!”

Needed the Money

“Oh, my God,” One of the nurses whispered to the other, “She’s waking up. She’s not supposed to be waking up in the middle of this.”

“What are you doing to me? Why do I only have one arm?” The young woman on the operating table slurred.

“It’s all right, Miss Li,” The other nurse said, “We’re just performing the transplants you’ll be paid for.”

“Transplants?”

“Yes, many in your financial situation choose to sell and transfer body parts for money.”

“But my arm? And...my legs? Why are my legs over there? How am I going to walk after this without legs?”

“It’s actually everything from your waist down. You aren’t losing them so much as...swapping them with another person. Mister Carver and you agreed before all of this. You’ll have everything of his. Now, breathe deep.”

“Mister? Mister Carver? No, but I don’t want,” The woman on the operating table began to fall back asleep, “I don’t want to be a guy down there. I want...”

The first nurse spoke up again, “That was so weird. Remember to use a bigger sedative dose next time.”

Eventually (Part 1)

“So explain this ‘accidental experiment’ to me one more time, okay?” Preston asked his roommate, Victoria.

“So, you know I’ve been studying biology and the brain?” Victoria explained, “I thought I had made a way to read someone’s mind. I tried to test it, and we ended up swapping bodies.”

“You tried to read my mind while I slept without asking me first?”

“Oh, God, no! Emily was over, and I was trying it on her. But something was too powerful and somehow you just got sucked into it.”

“And so I’m stuck in your body for how long?”

“I honestly don’t know. I don’t know how I did it in the first place. And doing it again could make it worse. We could swap with people upstairs or with their pets or just zonk out of oblivion. So, for now, we’re stuck. I’ll figure it out eventually, I promise!”

Miscalculated (Part 2)

View Part 1 of Miscalculated.
Harvey realized this might still be the perfect opportunity to get some sort of payback on Marc. But Marc didn’t seem to be at the beach, and he wasn’t back in the hotel room. The only person did find himself interacting was with Marc’s dad, who seemed to be rather frisky for a 50-year-old man. Harvey was able to deflect his advances by saying he was still not feeling well after earlier (when Harvey took possession of this body, which everyone else just say as a random collapse). As they ate dinner, Harvey kept finding the hand of Marc’s dad rubbing his leg; which he simply slapped away. He also learned that Marc was back home, and this vacation was just for the two of them -- which they apparently had done over winter and Thanksgiving break as well. Harvey almost started feeling bad for Marc. His parents seemed to often do these sorts of things, leaving Marc on his own.
