“Julie, you need to go back,” Tim sighed, “You were the one who said we had to act as each other as long as our bodies are switched. And you had already agreed to hang out with your friends this weekend, but you know they’d make fun of both you AND me to have your brother tagging along. So for both our sakes, please go! I know you’ve been keeping a close eye on me; I know you’re worried about what I’m going to do to your body when you’re not around, but relax. I’m not going to do anything except hang out with your stupid friends. I don’t even want to do this. It’s all a favor to you, so please just go!”

Harold noticed the change caused by the Great Shift immediately, but it was still a shock when he finally saw the reflection of his new body in a window.

“I’m a woman,” Harold muttered, “I still can’t fucking believe it.” “I know. It’s weird, right?” A voice next to him asked.

“It’s just -- ” Harold was at a bit of a loss for words. He hadn’t thought about all the implications of having a new body. In the end, he just nodded in agreement.

And so Malcolm took an even more basic approach. He decided just to try things like sit ups, toe touches, pus ups, and anything else he could think of that didn’t require a single piece of equipment.

It still didn’t help.

Just the weight on his chest while moving and stretching was enough to make him uncomfortable. Then there was the sweat. It was pooling in places he never even dreamed of before. He couldn’t wait for this all to be over and be back in his own body. He was sure he would look at Amber in a very different light after all this...

Engaged (Part 2)

The exercise machines kept making Malcolm feel uncomfortable, so he tried switching to something much more lo-tech.

It turned out that the weights weren’t much better. He started by picking out a size that was much too heavy for Amber’s body to handle. He needed to scale back. Even once he found a weight he could manage to lift, he still wasn’t comfortable. Again, Amber’s assets were still get getting in the way -- or mostly just feeling like a hindrance. But he wasn’t going to give up. He had told Amber he’d keep her body in shape, and he was going to find some way to do it!

Engaged (Part 1)

Amber came from a family of warlocks and witches. It was a tradition in her family for a couple to use a magic spell to switch bodies for a week between their engagement and wedding. When she explained this to her fiancee Malcolm, he almost didn’t believe her, but he had seen enough after dating a woman who dabbled in magic to not doubt her.

The swap was to ensure capatability and it often also helped with understanding, but Amber didn’t care too much about those. She knew she loved Malcolm. She told him that while he was in her body, he could mostly do anything he wanted. She’d take a vacation from her job; it would be easy. She did have a single condition, however. He would still have to go to the gym in order to make sure her body stayed in good shape. Malcolm didn’t object. After all, he wanted to have Amber’s body stay fit just as much as she did!

However, hitting the gym proved a bit more difficult than Malcolm had anticipated. Using many of the workout machines proved quite uncomfortable with the large breasts now hanging from his chest. He had never thought about how they might get in th way before, but now that they were attached to him, he was having trouble doing anything without them getting in the way!

“Jerry? Jerry!?” A voice called from behind. It had been a few weeks since he had even thought of himself by that name, so it took him some time before he turned around.

“My name is Emi-” He said as he turned around before he realized who he was talking to you, “Oh, it’s you.”

“Yeah,” Emily replied, “I was just curious how you are doing?”

“I haven’t really thought of it for the past few weeks. It’s been months now since it all happened, hasn’t it? Being Jerry feels like little more than a dream. It’s like I’ve always been Emily -- like I’ve always been you. I remember trying to fight it, but it all seems so silly to me now. I’ve continued my research into the material and have made additional breakthroughs.”

“Now, you’ve got to stop,” Emily insisted, “I know I felt like that before when I was you, but it’s wrong. It’s weird. You need to stop.”

“You’re just scared. And I remember that, but I see now that you were right. It’s not a big deal that I now have not just your body, but your personality, memories, and everything...”

Scholarship (Part 3)

Over the next few works, Jerry did everything he could to not lose himself and become Emily. He started by just trying to maintain who he was. He binge watched sports on television; he slacked and skipped as many classes as possible. Yet it wasn’t long before he found sports boring and he felt guilty about skipping class.

As time went on, his strategy changed. Instead of trying to hold onto himself, he just started trying to do the exact opposite of what Emily would do. He looked at her all-black wardrobe and went out and bought some floral dresses instead. He bought a pair of heels in an attempt to contrast her numerous sneakers. The outfits were all uncomfortable, but he was sure he never saw Emily wear anything like it. He was convinced he could fight it.

In reality, he was just exploring the feminine/girlie side of Emily’s personality that she often pushed aside. He wasn’t successfully fighting anything; it would only be a matter of time before he became Emily in not just body but also mind.
