“It was supposed to be easy for us, wasn’t it?” Eric lamented, “At least compared to what everyone else is going through. So why does it feel like everything is falling apart between us?”
Before the Great Shift, Eric and Sue were an average married couple in their 50s with their one kid already off at college. They swapped with each other -- one of the more basic swaps and one of the types of swaps that generally caused minimal disruption and drama between those swapped.
But things weren’t working well for Eric and Sue. Neither of them could place why. Something about being in each other’s bodies just didn’t feel right for either of them -- and their relationship became strained because of it. But how to move forward? Should they just sort of let it roll? Stay together despite the awkwardness and the discomfort. Eric wasn’t sure, but he needed to at least talk about it...
