Unsure

Chaotic would have been a tame word for everything that happened on Friday night. Nicholas and his bride-to-be Barbara were looking forward to their wedding the next day, busily working on a few last minute adjustments. The two were blinded by a flash and light and things went from busy to insane. Nicholas was no longer in a room with his wife, he was in his younger sister’s graduate school dorm room -- even stranger was when he looked down to discover he was now in his sister’s body as well. A few frantic phone calls later, and he found Barbara, she was in the body of his best man, Pierce. She gave him an opportunity to postpone the wedding, but he insisted he loved her no matter what and it should go on as planned. In some ways, they lucked out. Nicholas’s sister happened to be the same size as Barbara, though Nicholas felt a little weird about being the one to wear the dress. The pastor showed up right on time; it seemed that he hadn’t been affected by the Great Shift. Locating all the family and friends was difficult. Many were still missing, and Nicholas and Barbara feared for their loved ones’ safety. It still didn’t stop the wedding. As Nicholas stood before Barbara staring into the eyes that had belonged to his best man the night before, he had a moment of hesitation. He wished he had taken up Barbara’s offer to postpone this, at least for a day. Was he really ready for marriage in a new body like this? He just wasn’t sure...
