It was obvious from the moment I woke up that I wasn’t me anymore and that I was clearly a woman. Still, seeing my own new reflection in the mirror for the first time was a shock. Maybe I didn’t expect to be quite so beautiful, or maybe it was just the moment it actually felt real.
Whatever it was, the face staring back at me was now mine. It happened to everyone overnight, at least where I was. I guess for some people the swap happened in the middle of the day -- that must have been very weird, and I couldn’t even imagine it. It was one thing to wake up as someone else, but to just sort of be walking down the street?
Anyway, I tried to put it all out of my mind. There was a lot I still needed to learn about my new body and my new gender.
