Long hours and late nights -- those were the commitments to work that had elevated David to CEO of his company over the course of several decades. Of course, that was his old universe. An interdimensional rift had sucked him into a parallel world and a new life.
The universe was mostly the same as his own, but his life was different. He was a young woman, struggling as a junior designer at a big company. He thought the same dedication to work would get him far.
