Retro Junk

The retro video game consoles at the yard sale for practically nothing seemed like a really good deal. The only catch was that they were all wired togther in a really strange way, so I had to buy them all and bring them home to untangle them.

My girlfriend shouted as me for buying junk, and she wasn’t listening as I told her that I could sell even one of these online for way more than I bought it for. Then the strangest thing happened; the consoles all started humming and glowing. Then that glowing engulfed both my girlfriend and I, and it caused us to swap bodies.

In our new forms, we accidentally knocked a few of the consoles off the table, shattering their cases. My girlfriend shouted at me to fix it and then went to our room to go cry. But as far as fixing it? I had no clue how they had been connected before falling to the floor; I certainly had no idea how decades old video game technology could be turned into a body swapper. I looked things over, but as far as I could figure, we were going to be stuck like this.
