Rika shifted uncomfortably in the suit as she looked at her younger brother Takumi standing there in her body.
He looked at her straight in the eyes. “You deserve this,” He told her. “You know that.”
She sighed, “It still doesn’t seem fair. Mom and Dad always liked you better. It seems absolutely bonkers that we had to swap bodies just so I could go to university. They never would have paid for this opportunity for me...but for you? Well, they were prepared to do so without hesitation, even though I’m smarter! And I could’ve gotten way more scholarships.”
“And that’s why I told you that you deserve this, Rika. Don’t feel bad about the fact that you’re doing this in my body. You aren’t stealing my life from me. If anything, I feel like it’s the other way around. Mom and Dad wanted you around because they love you so much. Now that I’m you, I feel that. I can see that. They might’ve given me a lot, but they were always so cold to me. I could never live up to their expectation for their son. So go and live my life, and make it a good one. Okay?”
