The goblin guards brought Gideon and Gwyn through the castle ruins. They were eventually brought into a throne room where the princess sat. She was quite the sight.
Neither Gideon nor Gwyn had ever heard of a half-goblin. In fact, everything they had ever read stated that a human and a goblin could not create a viable offspring, yet that is exactly what the princess appeared to be. Gideon thought she was quite hideous, though still better looking than some of the women from the nearby village his parents used to try to hook him up with, and also considered she was outright gorgeous compared to the average goblin. Gwyn’s eyes were focused on the scepter she held. She certainly knew a magical weapon when she saw one, and it seemed almost wasted in the hands of a dumb goblin -- even a half-goblin.
But the princess knew exactly the power in her hand. When she saw the pair enter her throne room. She was excited. She giggled while muttering, “Is perfect! Is perfect! Kneel! Kneel!”
The guards made Gideon and Gwyn get on their knees. Then she held the scepter above them.
In a flash, Gideon realized he was now looking down at his own body. It was cursing and shouting, “Wrong one! Wrong one! Arrest! Detain!”
He was realizing he was now in the body of the princess, and she was trying to bark orders from his body. He just looked around at the goblins in the room an asked, “Could we have some privacy?”
