Jared knew it was only a matter of time before he was fired from Monica’s job. After all, what did he even know about practicing corporate law? Not much. He was surprised he was actually able to lay low and drag it out as long as he did. How long ago did he swap bodies with Monica? Six weeks? Seven? It seemed like forever ago now.
Adapting to her body was actually the easy part. Slipping into her clothes and portraying himself as a woman was almost second nature. He had hoped her professional skills would be just as easy to assume.
They weren’t. Though he certainly wondered if properly looking the part was what helped him to stay on as long as he did.
And he also asked himself what he was going to do now. On paper, he had Monica’s resume with years of experience as a lawyer, which he couldn’t do. In reality, he was a guy who worked at a bunch of low-level, dead-end jobs. His prospects for the future weren’t exactly bright.
