I could tell she was shocked to see her own body looking this way. It was hard enough for her when I stopped wearing makeup on her face, and now I had cut her hair.
“Don’t be mad,” I tried to preempt anything she might say.
“It’s okay,” She replied nervously in a way that indicated she didn’t think it okay in the slightest before she added, “It looks good. I look good. I mean, you look good.”
“It was part of our agreement after the swap,” I explained, knowing she knew all this. “After a month, if we didn’t find the reversal, we agreed that we could...”
“...Live our lives as if each other’s bodies were our own.” She sighed, completing my sentence, “I know. It’s still hard seeing my long hair gone. And you’ve just made my body look so -- manish!”
“Well, despite being in your female body, I am -- in fact -- a man, after all. Though I know we did promise no actual sex changes no matter what. And we’re still here at the library looking for a reversal spell, so I haven’t given up. I just needed to be more comfortable.”
“It hasn’t been easy for me either...”
