It's not you; it's me

It had been over three months since Victoria swapped bodies with her boyfriend Aiden in an accident at their college’s research lab. She was amazed at how well they had come out of the whole thing, and she was so excited for their weekly date night! Aiden was taking her to one of her favorite restaurants. Of course, Aiden wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic about their future. In between the main course and dessert, he dropped the bombshell.

“It’s not you; it’s me. Because I am you, and you are me.” He began, “It’s weird being a female, but it’s even weirder dating my own body. It’s odd waking up in the morning and seeing my own face on the pillow next to me. It’s hard kissing my own lips. And I’m having trouble getting turned on during sex because it’s like I’m fucking myself!”

Victoria was bursting in tears. This was completely unexpected. She didn’t know what to say. She was sure Aiden was the one; she was even more sure when they had switched bodies. After all, he had her body! If that wasn’t a message to stay together
forever, what was?
