Colin had been dating Jenny for about a year. In a lot of ways, she seemed like a perfect girlfriend. She was cute; she was attentive to his needs; and, as a bonus, she liked video games. But she had some weird quirks, too. She’s be silent for days at a time, refusing to hang out or answer her phone. For a while, Colin wondered if she was cheating on him.
As it turned out, she had a secret. As they went for a walk in the park one day, she explained that she had a confession.
“What is it?” Colin asked.
“It’s better if I show you,” She replied.
And in the morning light, Colin watched as she began to change, going from female to male. Before Colin could ask anything, Jenny explained.
This was just who she was. Half of each month, she had to be male, and the other half she was female. She could go back and forth at will. However, if she spent too long as one, she’d snap to the other and unable to change.
“So are you a woman forced to spend time as a man? Or a man forced to spend time as a woman?” Colin asked.
“They’re both just part of me,” Jenny explained, “Equal. 50/50. Neither one is my natural state. They both just are. I can understand if this is too much and you want to break up.”
Colin reacted with shock, “Of course not! I mean, it’s weird, but you’re still the best girlfriend I’ve ever had.”
