The goblin princess was still furious. Through her broken words, she explained her whole backstory. She was birthed to a goblin mother, and her human features made the other goblins consider her quite ugly. She was kept in a cage for much of her life untl she grew too tall to fit. She tried to live amongst humans, but they were even crueler in regards to her goblin features. She even sought out her father who had abandoned her. And she had found him -- the Mad Mage -- and he was the cruelest, meanest of them all. She hated him to her core.
At this moment, Gideon considered asking her to join their party -- a unifying motivation seeming quite obvious at this point. But her story didn’t end there.
The staff was a gift from her father. He expected her to steal a beautiful body so he could stand to look at his own daughter’s face. She had intended to take Gwyn’s body but had swapped with Gideon by mistake instead. And she still seemed dead set on that goal. Despite absolutely hating her father, she still wanted to make him happy. She still craved his love and felt the only way she could get that was if she was beautiful enough.
Gideon tried to talk her out of it, telling her that if the Mad Mage could’ve love her as she was, he never would. She doubled down, telling them both how she still planned to steal Gwyn’s body at the next moment she could.
