Dave sat back and wondered about his deal with Ahn. He had met her in college. She was mousy with crooked teeth -- not exactly what anyone would call attractive. And she always appreciated Dave’s kindness and his friendship, perhaps especially considering the fact that Dave was a rather handsome man. Throughout their time at school together, he never knew of her parents’ vast wealth. And he certainly didn’t know all she went through after graduation to try to improve her appearance.

Despite all the plastic surgery and teeth straightening, Ahn still felt awkward. She still hated her outside appearance. But with her massive wealth, she still had one avenue left to try, so she called Dave.

Half her fortune -- and taking over her life. That was her offer to Dave to swap bodies through the secret experimental technology. With the job market in its present state, Dave had trouble landing a gig after college. The offer seemed too good to pass up, and so he agreed.

A few months later as he sat by the pool, he thought about his agreement with Ahn. He didn’t mind being in her body one bit. He certainly liked the money. He just wished she had asked him before all the plastic surgery and whatnot. He wouldn’t have minded being more like that mousy girl he had met in college one bit.
