Chuck would’ve thought being on a spaceship would be fun, and maybe for a while it was. But there also wasn’t any television or video games or internet or anything else that might keep him occupied. He was bored.
He knew this alien chick said she was just going to use his body to explore, but he started to wonder when she would be back. It had to have been weeks at least.
“Computer?” He asked, wondering if it would respond, “How long has she been gone with my body?”
Sure enough, the computer did respond, “Approximately eighty Earth years.”
“What? No! That’s impossible! It can’t have been that long! My body would be dead!”
“Your body will live for approximately ten thousand Earth years.”
“No, not this body. My original human body!”
“Human bodies live for approximately seventy Earth years.”
Chuck was realizing he was stuck in this body on a tin can orbiting the planet that he had no idea how to fly. And if he couldn’t figure it out, he was going to be stuck here a very long time...
